HALL OF FAME #19 THE WEEKEND THREAD T.G.I.F. at the Finest |
Every Thursday at the Finest |
|
I have added him now to my Military Prayer List.
Our guys are so wonderful....I have seen a few pictures of their kindness to little children that make me cry. Its a good cry. Thanks, Billie. My husband used to say that I cried at Hallmark card commercials. And I have, some of them get to you!
Rus, I will include Sgt Hull’s photo in the next collage, too, if you can contact dwhole2th for permission. There should be enough now to include group 16!
Hi, jaycee, you’re not the only one who cries at Hallmark Card commercials. The picture I used was in a group of pictures that Diver forwarded to me via email. There are so many sweet ones, but the final picture is one that literally will break your heart. The soldier is carrying a child who is covered in blood, apparently from a car bomb blast. I cannot repost it. :(
That’s a terrific story! God Bless that Marine!
Amen to that!
Thanks so much. Prayers for all who serve our country.
More than 2,000 Marines are returning to Camp Lejeune from a six-month deployment aboard ships to the Horn of Africa and Middle East.
The first wave of Marines arrived Saturday from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit, a self-contained group of combat troops, supply experts and aviators.
The last of the troops will arrive today.
The Marines stopped in Djibouti, Qatar, Jordan and Kenya. In Kenya, Marines helped build a school and ran a two-day medical clinic to immunize local residents and treat those suffering from dysentery and malaria.
Marines also helped train armed forces in the countries they visited, said unit spokesman Capt. Will Klump. On its way home, the 26th stopped in Spain and Marines helped restore a monastery.
I just sent him an email.
That may have been posted and I saw it....it was gut-wrenching for the soldier carrying the child. They can never get over that feeling. If it touches us, imagine what it does to him.
Bless you, Billie!
I found this recently...
Though tis not US Troops vid this time... but my contribution/ entry today is a post I chose in order to Thank Our Allies... It’s Prince William!
Apart from the distracting copyright marks on most of the pics the vid & song are quite good! Look at his face when his Grandmum QE passes by!...Adorabibble(adorable) tis!
So here’s one I post, in Appreciation of Our Allies!
Your # 45 is Awesome! Way to go,& Amen, Marine Man!
