Here we are again my friends, hopefully for the last debate thread on this particular monstrous legislation. Proceedings are supposed to begin at 9:30 a.m. EST, with the cloture vote being taken at 10:30 a.m.
On a personal note, you've all been wonderful in your passion, vigilance, and commitment to the principles on which our country was founded. If I have to be in a foxhole, I want to be in it with you guys.
the same questions will have to be asked about the home office, though...they may not take flowers either for the same reason....
He voted for it, before he voted against it.
How slimey.
Red, white and blue thank-you notes!
order candy online and send....
A basket of fruit from Harry and David!...for his DC or Mobile office.
Cornyn, for the love of James Earl Jones, mention the terrorists that come across and who overstayed their visas.
Let them know that since 9-11 nothing has been done and our troops are giving all while the hill opens the door to terrorists.
FIRST...kill this vote (check)
NEXT...work on that wall!
And in the meantimes, the hordes are NOT "legalized." HUGE victory.

“He voted for it, before he voted against it.’
Is there proof of this?
GIULIANI....NO WAY!
But not one more damn dime !!!
I called his office numerous times and heard the little dance that his staffers were doing to try to give him cover.. Just pissed me off
I hope there are some Photoshop freepers who can do it.
Sorry it’s beyond my skills...
No-I think it is up to us to push for border enforcement. What you refuse to acknowledge is that if this bill had gone through, they would not have enforced the border anyway. You would have 12 to 20 million permanent non-citizens demanding their rights and million pouring over the border in hopes of another amnesty down the road.
Specter just called today’s defeat a “bump in the road”
What an arrogant #)%&#)&@#%
I’m gonna call his office and laugh at them :D
..the marches where staged by the Dems. The borders are still wide open so their families can sneak in. What’s to be upset about? They have all kinds of time now.
Hi neighbor, I'm in Flag. :) Thank you for your service!
Chertoff drew the short straw.
He’s on CNN whining and complaining that the bill had tools they needed, money ($4.4 billion) they needed, etc.
What steps? You haven’t changed a darn thing as far as I can tell.
It remains to be seen whether even the "down payment" will be turned into actual fence. Somehow, I doubt it. Let's be clear, the "Secure Fence Act" was an election-season ploy to smooth the ruffled feathers of the Republican base. The comments from *Mexico* were highly critical, even including threats to go crying to the U.N. In response, the Mexican officials were told (in essence): "Don't worry about the fence - we expect to have an immigration accord in place soon."
The President and his allies in this cause never intended to build that fence. So, now we have no border fence and no amnesty. That's better than no border fence WITH amnesty.
Thanks Daddy
I love that cartoon...
It wont happen again...I hope...
:)
If he wins. Hunter Thompson is the only candidate I've contributed to. Thompson and Guilianni right now look like the big dogs in the fight. If it is Guilianni I'd love to see a conservative VP.
All wonderful ideas too. I guess now we need to clarify whether D.C. OR the local office will accept ANY of those items. (I'm sure the red, white, and blue thank-you notes will not pose a problem!) :-)
