Open Letter to Sen. Jim Webb (D-VA)
FormerFarmer

Posted on 06/27/2007 10:09:17 AM PDT by Former Farmer

Dear Senator Webb –

Courage keys the Scots-Irish heritage which you and I share. Last year I gave Born Fighting to a Scots-American church member who was entering the Special Forces.

You showed courage when you resigned as SecNav rather than accept a grievous wound to the Navy. Show courage again to prevent a grievous wound to our nation. This immigration bill will not stanch the bleeding at our southern border.

When an American serviceman is wounded in Iraq, the only right act is to stop the bleeding first. Only a fool would demand comprehensive reform of our Middle Eastern policy before we stop the bleeding.

Fools we were in 1986, when Congress gave open amnesty to several million illegals in exchange for a promise to secure our southern border. But Republicans want cheap labor and Democrats want free votes. Both parties betrayed their promise. Such naked betrayal turns our trust into rage. The border bleeds.

Now comes another naked betrayal: reward 12-20 million illegals for defying American law, and promise again to secure our southern border. Who can believe the promise? We know how many miles of fence were promised last year, and how few have been built. We know once they get their amnesty they will leave the border bleeding.

Our rulers are buying Senators with pork. Edward Longshanks bought Scots nobles with lands and titles. One man stood up to tell the truth; he changed history. I don’t think you will be made lord protector, and sure don’t want you drawn and quartered, but if you have courage you can change history. Stop the bleeding first.

Someone has to state the obvious: the promises are empty, the emperor has no clothes.

Will you do it? If not, who will?

With prayer support,

Rev.

No argument from me.

I’m all for as much Christian sharing, charity etc. as voluntary groups care to get into.

But at some point, this border business became insanity a lont time ago.

And the NAU is more insanity as is globalism . . . from hell.

Are you talking about legal immigration or illegal immigration? I didn’t read or hear of anybody wanting to shut down legal immigration.

Thanks. Sorry I’m so late in replying, but on Wednesday’s I volunteer in the kitchen at the local Moose Lodge.

For those that don’t know, Moose International benefits children and seniors and the majority of money raised in the local Lodges stays in the local communities. Bingo is our major fundraising source and we hold Bingo every Wednesday night. The money we raise goes to scholarships, Scout sponsorships, athletic sponsorships, heating bills, grocery bills and a host of other such things in our community, along with support for the children’s home and senior’s homes that are operated by Moose.

I am not saying any of this looking for pats on the back, my point is that although I live in a relatively poor community we do what we can to help others........by our own choice. I do not wish to be forced to do more and that’s what this travesty of a piece of legislation will do.

What nonsense to say that from a Christian perspective we have a duty to allow people into this country. Most Chinese might want to come and then there will be no opportunities but instead we will be another China.

Instead, we should allow people to leave the country. And, unlike the former Soviet Union, we do.

A country that does not protect its borders and allows unlimited immigration will not survive. Nothing Christian about destroying your own country. We do not have an obligation to take in the criminals, terrorists, and surplus population from other countries and create a hell for our own people.

Here is a list of the key staff contacts of the “Amnesty 8” Senators that are most likely to be persuaded to vote no on Thursday and derail amnesty. Many offices are putting calls straight to voicemail and they can just trash faxes (and letters take weeks to get through due to security). Hit Hill staff where they are so codependent - their Blackberries! Send email directly to staff - not just the generic Senate office mailbox. Contact their Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and Press Secretary. Make your voice heard!!

For the Democrats, I would strongly suggest taking a pro-union/anti-illegal alien stance (i.e. “they are taking our jobs”) rather than using the conservative national security angle.

Forcing one another to the rule of law is a blessing we are granted as Americans. In time past men were forced at the point of sword and gun to be chattel and slave...pretty darn near close to the shabby border operation we presently run. We currently import a “disposable” class of worker ...whose presence destroys all hard won value of American work and labor.

Thank you for your blessings and I ask for them for you as well.

The comments made earlier by an alleged “Christian” in regard to my community and the people I know pained me deeply. the illegals are bleeding us dry and I am sick and bloody tired of it, as are most people I know.

Sorry for the pains.

I don’t tend to fit most categories folks try and shoehorn me into.

I’m a Pentecostal Christian . . . very conservative in many ways but my God is bigger than the little boxes a lot of my cohorts try and squeeze Him into.

I’m not real fond of lodges. But I applaud the good works and the Moose variety seems to be pretty innocuous compared to some others.

And, I don’t really like to get into the whole secret society stuff.

I’m convinced of the NWO and have had trouble with a lot of folks who’ve been heavily into the Masons—as counseling clients. But I don’t even care to haggle with them.

The short of it is . . . I’m happy to applaud your kindly spirit and good works and wish you well. If I met you face to face or hereon . . . I’d do what I could to ‘do good unto you.’

God’s best to you and yours and draw you ever closer to Himself in these trying times.

And may all the traitorous globalist idiots in DC fall in the pit they have dug asap.

How about “Thou shall not steal”? These people are akin to burglars because they have broken into our country without authorization.

What you are saying is if someone comes into your house and steals your television to sell it to feed their starving family, it’s okay.

You’re free to live your life with that philosophy, but the rest of us simply wouldn’t stand for it.

That is a sentiment I can dig into :)

I understand your aversion to the secret societies, I have them myself, which is why I have no problem with Moose.

I’m a Pentecostal Christian . .

I was raised Roman Catholic, my husband was raised Methodist, we now belong to and our daughter was Baptised in an Episcopal Church. Regardless, I agree with you, our God is far bigger than anything or any denominational differences.

I happen to have a very hard time with someone that will call my faith, my Christianity, into question when I state I oppose amnesty to the illegals. I know far too many people who have been hurt by them to give a pass.

God gave us free will, God alone will determine if we used it properly. When it comes to this issue I do not believe He will judge me as wanting.

Regards, my FRiend, I'm calling it a night.

Wellll, precious Bro/Sis,

Thanks for your kind and wise words. I much agree.

Compassion is a wise choice most of the time. But blind, willy nilly mindless compassion is not real compassion.

Inviting a whale into the lifeboat out of compassion is idiocy.

Blessed to meet up with you.

Heading to bed shortly myself.

I'm sorry, the Rev. kissed Webb's behind so much in the first paragraph that I was unable to finsh the rest of the letter.

Before discussing the morality of bringing third world people here to “rescue” them.... you need to watch Roy Beck and gumballs.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7WJeqxuOfQ

It is statistically impossible for our country to make any significant difference without totally destroying our society. watch it and see.....
