My Senators did the right thing (Cornyn and Hutchinson) but maybe we SHOULD throw the baby out with the bath water!

The only way to eventually cure this disease will be with an entirely new government, starting at the top.

On my way to buy another 1000 rounds. We are going to need every one.

Just got off the phone with Sen. Bond’s local office, which told me the reason for his vote was because he was given the opportunity to introduce an amendment that would remove the Z-visa provison from the bill. If the amendment fails, I was told, Sen. Bond would vote against the bill.

While it’s not over until it’s over, this is a better explanation than I feared I would be given.

If you post make certain your list is correct. To be chastised by Sen Alewaxander’s office for misinformation is embarassing

Doesn’t this have to go to the House also? It doesn’t become law just because it gets through the Senate. And from all the articles I’ve read the House is very much against this.

Here is a list of the key email contacts in the offices of the 24 Republican Senators that voted for cloture on S. 1639 on Tuesday. Many offices are putting calls straight to voicemail and they can just trash faxes (and letters take weeks to get through due to security). Hit Hill staff where they are so codependent - their Blackberries! Send email directly to staff - not just the generic Senate office mailbox. Contact their Chief of Staff, Legislative Director, and Press Secretary. Make your voice heard!!

The continual stupidity of the RINOcrat’s in D.C. continues to amaze me by the minute. These fools cannot truly believe that Americans do not what this. They are blinder than a road killed raccoon. These people need to be tossed from office, and their leader Jorge Bush needs to go with them!! NOW!!!

These five don’t surprise me. Northeast republicans are always fair-weather. Collins and Snowe might have 2 illegals total living in their state and both of those are from Canada.

Whitehouse -RI
Collins - ME
Greg - NH
Snowe - ME
Specter - PA

These five however, absolutely, defied the will of their constituents. Bond being the worst. I got kin in Missouri, and they will be livid. At least McConnell is an honest and forthright traitor. He said before, that he would vote yes and see how the amendments go. Brownback might as well kiss that weak ass attempt to run for El Presidente goodbye.

Bond - MO
McConnell - KY
Brownback - KS
Lott - MS
Hagel - NE

All the rest republican aye voters are just pure !@#$%.

So our two democrat senators from Ohio voted in favor of amnesty. George had better think of this as his last term or he is going to end up like Mike DeWhine. He might as well go ahead and retire.

Immigration bill advances in Senate

By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS, Associated Press Writer 13 minutes ago

The Senate voted Tuesday to jump-start a stalled immigration measure to legalize millions of unlawful immigrants.

President Bush said the bill offered a “historic opportunity for Congress to act,” and appeared optimistic about its passage by week’s end.

Sen. Whatshisname
Submitted by ryanteaguebeckwith on June 26, 2007 - 1:26pm.
Tags: Brent Woodcox | Elizabeth Dole | Republican Party | Richard Burr | Under the Dome

The N.C. Republican Party is praising all but one of the state’s national Republicans.

In a press release issued this afternoon, the party noted that it “stands with” Sen. Elizabeth Dole and the state’s Congressional Republicans in their “commitment to defeat any immigration bill offering amnesty.”

Any attempt to deal with the complex question of immigration without addressing and implementing a strong border policy first is a recipe for failure.

Conspicuously absent from the release: Republican Sen. Richard Burr.

Brent Woodcox, a spokesman for the party, said that it has held the same position against amnesty for illegal immigrants “from the very beginning.” He declined to say anything further about Burr.

“I think the statement speaks for itself,” he said.

I just got through again to Voinovich’s office on the free ‘Spanish’ line...800-882-2005 keep pushing 1 (for Voinovich) until you get his staffer. I asked her point blank WHY he continues to vote in favor of this bill. She said he did not have a statement to release. I asked her why he did not have anything on his position on illegal immgration posted on his website. She said she did not know. I asked if he has been getting his messages. She said she typed up 900 just yesterday. I asked why isn’t he listening to his constituants. She said she didn’t know. I told her I would never vote for him again. I told her Ohioans would be down at the Stathouse in Columbus on Saturday to let Senator Voinovich know he needs to start looking for a job. She said she had heard about the rally on Dirk Thompsons show and wanted to know if I’d be participating. I told her I WAS THE ORGANIZER! I asked her then to take a message. She did and I think her jaw hit the floor, as most people do. Thanks to Aunt B...I told her that according to the (2000) U.S. Census Bureau, Voinovich giving AMNESTY to 12 - 18 million illegal aliens would be equal to the compined populations of the States of:

Wyoming
Vermont
Alaska
North Dakota
South Dakota
Delaware
Montana
Rhode Island
Hawaii
New Hampshire
Maine
Idaho
Nebraska
West Virginia
New Mexico
Nevada
and the District of Columbia.

Quite a picture when you look at it that way.
