I don't want them to have the term progressive. I also want to take back the term liberal because liberal refers to freedom and that is the last thing those people want. Use the terms socialist, communist or fascist because they are the ones which most closely match their ideology.

That is, as long as they use it as the adjective that it is and not as a stand-alone term to describe something that they’re not. They’re not “progressive” in the true definition of the word. "Progressive" is a catch-all term for collectivist and anti-individualist political movements. It means opposition to free markets and support for central government planning. It promotes the replacement of individual rights and responsibilities with collective obligations and duties. In the 20th century, this ideology killed, oh...about 100 million or so people, but only because it wasn't run by really smart people like Al Gore, John Edwards, and Hillary Clinton.
