It's a wonderful story...for us.

Unfortunately, many in Afghanistan, if they could see the story, would view it as an atrocity.

First, a woman has her clothes removed and receives medical attention from infidel men, who layed her bare to their uncouth eyes and hands. And she did nothing to prevent it.

Second, the traditional justice of Afghan culture has been nullified and undone by these infidel invaders, who come only to impose their Christian values and practices upon Allah's land and people.

This won't win hearts and minds over there. But sometimes, hearts and minds aren't worth winning.

Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Why doesn’t Chris Wallace show THIS on FNS? And TO Sens. Feinstein and Trott or Lott whatever that guy calls himself. Captain McGrady would make Lott seem the fluffy fibber he is, just by talking and doing his job. That’s a real threat.

Thanks J.J.P.

Nope. I am not an Internet person. Perhaps odd since I have been doing computer things since 1964 and was using the Internet long before WWW. I check NYMEX, email, and FR. Otherwise I commune with nature and long dead philosophers.

NOT try to attempt to block or silence another view.

Interesting projection. Who is doing that?

How will we read our e-mail?

I wrote a program on my old VIC-20 when it was new just out of the box and the $300 pricetag still on it that would read text out loud. That is easy.

Yes. The poster didn't put it there, but since IMHO it rated maximum visibility, I did.

And thank you so much for doing so. I might've missed it otherwise, and that would've been just plain sad.

Hard to believe this came from the BBC. That poor baby. And how old will he be before he’s expected to strap on a bomb?

ABC showed an edited version yesterday and of course, the part they edited out was the part about our troops.

Here’s what you do to save a youtube vid.

Pull up two tabs on your browser...one for youtube
and the other for www.youtubex.com in your youtube window search for the file you want...then right click on the link.
Pick “save link location” then go to your youtubex window —
paste it in the tope slot and hit “download” — a black/blue bar will appear and do its thing for a few seconds.

Then scroll down a bit, a box has popped up with the vid you want to download, along with its youtube description.
click the first link in this new box to start the download.

Microsoft will pop a window for you and you should select
“save to disk” and hit okay twice. (Why you have to hit okay twice, I don’t know take it up with that idiot, Gates.)

It will save a file called get_video to your desktop.
A 10 minute download takes roughly an hour. This is about 22 megabytes. Videos of just a couple minutes or less don’t really take too long...my system takes about 3 minutes per megabyte.

When the file is done, move it where you want and rename it
to whatever.flv

To play use a flashplayer. If you don’t have one a free one
can be downloaded from

http://keepvid.com

Enjoy.

It's not like it your bandwidth that's being used up here, so what's your problem? Let Jim tell us if he has a problem with it.

Is it any more useful than the thousands of other silly threads that are posted here? Do you jump on every thread and tell them their not in line with the "mission of FR"? We read them because we like them, no one is forcing it upon you.

I really don't get what your issue is.

A moderator moved it to breaking news, so PM them if you have a problem with it.

Uh....it's a rescue by our troops, not a plug for UTube

Good find, thank you for posting.

Some people don't have relatives on the ground in Iraq or Afghanistan. Though I do have relatives currently fighting the war on terror, GOOD stories agout the GOOD things done by our troops are always appreciated, since for the most part the media isn't interested in anything but manufacturing war crimes in an attempt to make the WOT look like The Next Viet Nam.

It's very unfair that you seem to believe that just because you have dialup and don't bother with UTube, nobody else should be allowed either. I also live in a rural area where DSL is just coming through, but see no need to punish others for having it.

Most of us with family in the military are hurt and angered far more deeply by the constant negative press then those who support our troops, but don't have any relatives currently fighting.

I hope you would respect the wishes of those of us who enjoy uplifting stories about our troops and simply exercise your freedom to choose not to hijack a thread because you don't like UTube.

"Our troops are doing stuff like that all the time over in the Middle East, and when all the lurkers see us go crazy over one little news story about it, it probably helps them justify their belief that we are doing mostly bad things over there and when the rare case of the US doing good comes up we exploit the hell out of it."

IMO, that is very much like saying that publically supporting our troops makes the lefties think we're desperate so we should not publically support them.

Since when did the good opinion of bunch of overmedicated MarxBots become so important to us? It means diddly to me. I have always publically supported our veterans and will continue to do so. SOMEBODY has to oppose the MarxBot mindset. And here I always thought it was conservatives...

/:-) HER heart and mind may have been won...if she survives. If she doesn't, if the next so-called "honor killing" succeeds, I hope the BBC broadcasts it loud and clear.
