Lane Williamson, Chair of the Panel, announced that, "we are in unanimous agreement that anything short of disbarrment would be appropriate in this case given the magnitude of the offenses we have found and the affects on the public."

I believe it's redneck for "He is not" - as in "Haint home".

Disbarment is not necessarily final. In most states, you can reapply for the Bar after a period of time.

A haint is a ghost (haunting) - haunt=haint. I used to watch a lot of OLD tv shows with blacks and that's what they called them.

I think the coach recently settled his case against Duke. Of course the details will be confidential.

I suspect if Hillary wins in 08 Nifong will be installed in the DOJ to do her bidding.

The coach settled out of court for an undisclosed sum.

Other stuff-

I don’t think you’ll see all 88 fired. I expect Duke has been quietly cleaning out the untenured ones as their contracts come up. The ones with tenure are going to be hard to remove if the only thing they did is sign a petition. The boys might get the petition circulators fired and maybe anyone who commented to the press on their own but I’m not so sure about that.

An interesting thought, if Duke is hurt by this they, and others, could start requiring that new professors not speak on any issue not related to their area of study without clearing it with the University’s lawyers first. If that happened it would be sweet.

Can the boys sue in a jurisdiction other than Durham NC. It is hard to see a Durham judge signing off on big payouts by the town or the university. If they can sue elsewhere the town is who I’d really like to see hammered. I’d love it if they were wiped off the map

He can apply here in 5 years.
But who would want him for an attorney.
He is useless to his profession now.

The only thing I can think he would be qualified for is a political win in the democrat party.
Think about it—he lies, fabricates stories—plays the race card—that makes him a perfect demoncrat candidate.
