If the board decides to do nothing, can the governor step in or can the current prosecutor go after Nifong?

Nifong's own attorney has gotten him to admit three times (so far) that he made statements to the media that were unethical/inappropriate and should not have been made.
If the judicial panel are listening, they are hearing Nifong cut his own throat.

He and the rest of the “defendents” went through hell over the psychotic lies of a 5th grade dropout.
How sad for them, let’s hope they receive some sort of justice from this hearing.

“Nifong is probably hoping for a Mark Furman who used the N-word 10 years earlier to divert the context away from the actual allegations against Nifong to some other point of interest.”
Yep.
Let me try for a moment, to think like a white, Christian male-hating journalist:
How about the clearly “racist” fact that the LaCrosse players specifically requested a non-black stripper. That should be good for lots of mileage with the ScuMedia.

It is the North Carolina Bar Disciplinary Counsel asking questions. Each state has their own disciplinary system for attorney misconduct. The DC office prosecutes the alleged violations and usually a three member attorney panel will issue a ruling.
Fong will get to drag this out for awhile as the attorney has numerous appellate rights.
To: Sue Perkick
Yea, it’s gone from afraid to go up against him to learning Nifong refused to look at the evidence they had collected. Which, as far as I know, was the responsibility of the prosecutors office to investigate in the first place!!!

Years ago here in NYS, the lawyers who were involved in the Tawana Brawley mess up in Dutchess County lost their licenses. C. Vernon Mason and Alton Maddox, I think.

Tom I think he is willing to admit to this. The DNA information is going to be a whole different story.

That was a blatant lie. If so, he would never have made comments to the media.
Just said he would not have charged anyone without specific evidence. Another blatant lie.
To: Brytani
I’m betting that Nifong walks away without a scratch.

A talking head lawyer on Fox said the other day Nifong should just put his neck on the line, admit he was wrong, claim it was the pressures of the job/office etc and as for mercy.
CourtTv is driving me CRAZY - all this breaking in, etc. I’m back to Fox
