The media’s trying to hype this one up into a frenzy.
Corrected: "The fewer Islamofascist mosques the better."
1B+ folks will remain muslim for the forseeable future. The trick is to stop them from blowing things up.
hey all, this isn’t funny. This just means our guys on the ground are going to suffer the consequences of this. Tensions are going to flare once again between the two muslim sects, and a lot of it is going to be taken out on the american soldier because the muslims will say it was our fault for not protecting the shrine. I don’t think this is anything to laugh about. Iraq is a freaking mess thanks to our doing and our support of the president. Laughing and cracking jokes about something that will most certainly spike violence towards our G.I.’s to me isn’t funny.
i dont think that’s the same mosque...look at the paint and texture of the building itself, not to mention the surrounding neighborhood...
...unless the first picture was only intended to give us an idea as to what the mosque looked like before.
Now where are they gonna worship satan?
From what I’ve read, the Iraqis are probably among the most energetic and educated of all the Arab nations. Or am I wrong? Iran has that too, but it is not primarily Arab, is it?
Bump.
The terrorists try the same advertising campaign that was somewhat successful last year. Since the merchandise is the same, customer interest might be lower.
Maybe next time they can blow up the pile of rubble that is left. That is if they don’t run out of son’s and daughters to strap the bombs around first.
Al Qaeda and Iranian Hezbollah have been working together for almost as long as al Qaeda has been in existence. Khobar Towers was a joint operation. The Mombassa hotel bombing in 2002 was a joint venture. The 9/11 Commission outlined evidence of Hezbollah cooperation in the attacks on New York and Washington. The 1999 Grand Jury indictment against UBL outlined such cooperation, also. When Khlaid Sheikh Mohammed was captured, his duties were assumed by a Shiite — Saif al-Adel. An agent of Iranian Hezbollah.
If the Sunni-Shiite divide was as deep and consuming as the American media likes to pretend it is, Iran would be practically doing our work for us in Iraq. The one thing that’s been completely absent from this “civil war” since the start has been actual fighting between al Qaeda and Mookie’s Hezbollah spinoff. All they’re doing is exchanging attacks on civilians... attacks that are staged to appear as if motivated by sectarian hostility.
Yes, you’re right, they’ll certainly kill each other if we let them. But they’d much rather kill us. And they’re working toward doing just that for quite a while now. The Sunni-Shiite history is just a convenient subterfuge for what they’re actually doing here in the present. The real “civil war” is between the jihadists and the moderates.
These Islamic extremists respect nothing, even their own holy shrines. The Bush Administration will be blamed for the actions of these murdering lunatics.
Correct on both counts. The Iraqis haven't had the pampered lifestyle of their Saudi and Kuwaiti, etc. counterparts and tend to be bright, educated and hardworking. They're also much friendlier than people in other Arab nations.
Iranians are primarily Persians and tend to be well-educated, too. They just have a tendency to have really screwed up "leadership."
And in the leadership department, Iraq is still learning. This voting thing is kind of new to them, but the thing is, they are learning. A lot of them have told me they wish they had voted differently in '05 and will not vote with their hearts next time around.
Fifteen security personnel under arrest. Baghdad under curfew. So far it seems Iraqis aren’t buying this time.
Good point. But the Shiites in Iran are battling for the survival of their regime and need to bring the Shiites in Iraq (whom they regard as ethnic inferiors) into line. That sort of pressure can lead to unlikely events happening.
Nah, it could never happen.......
could it?
Are the any muslims that aren’t extremists over yonder?
Ditto that!
You have it exactly right - The reality is the MSM are 24/7 looking to spin / lie all they can in a direct effort to help our enemies.....There is absolutely no denying this.
They hype stories, non-stories and complete lies constantly if they come from a premise that helps our enemies agendas (or hurts ours)....
Yet they go out of their way to spike the thousands of success stories for our side......Or to question every and any momentum our side gains...
But is the clock still working correctly? Lets get our priorities straight..
