Hunter could have done exactly what Fred is doing and positioned himself for maximum exposure. The thing is, he hasnt been willing to think outside the box and get himself noticed. Thats his own fault and nobody elses.
Ding ding ding. Quoted for truth. You echo something I said a while back.

If he had announced today with Leno at 4, wouldn’t we have heard it already? We heard about Schwartzie’s announcement MINUTES after he did it at around 4 pm PST. Thompson didn’t do it.

I’d say you’re right p_r_s, in that he hasn’t done enough to position himself away from the rest of the GOPer-RINOs. Too darned bad, IMO.

Hi, just heard on the ABC news break on radio that Fred was asked if he will run and he said “there are things that I think should be done and the only way to do that is to be President- yes” . Sounds like a YES to me.

Yes. I already saw an article stating he did NOT announce. I didn’t want to post any spoilers. :)

He’s probably there to discuss the HBO movie in which he’s playing President U. S. Grant. I believe it debuts on Thursday. I’m sure there will be no end of winking and nudging done by Leno about the race, but I doubt Fred will announce in that venue.

I hope not. His announcement venue should reflect his conservatism.

Hopefully he won’t announce anywhere near that liberal Leno...
Of course he is tight with the bigwigs at NBC, so he might throw them a ratings bone!

Leno is about as funny as roadkill. His writers have had some big fun with the Paris Hilton hijinks!

Hes probably there to discuss the HBO movie in which hes playing President U. S. Grant. I believe it debuts on Thursday. It's been out for a couple of weeks already. I've been waiting for one of my spendthrift friends who pops for HBO to invite me over. I'd bring the beer!

Hey Petronski it’s too early (ITE). ITE is my favorite phrase about Fred, the other nominees for President and the Red Sox. Too early to get too excited about any of the above. I will not fall into the Democrats plan to push early and people lose enthusiasm.

It is very early, but Fred is the closest thing to what I require from a conservative presidential candidate (electability included), and I haven’t found anyone else in the race to give me any hope.
