In what may have been one of the US Senate's greatest speeches, Senator Byron Dorgan just trashed the Immigration Bill and poked fun at its framers.
Senator Dorgan said about the bill: "It's about profits for big economic interests". He hammered repeatedly at the fact that there had been no consideraion given to American workers in the crafting of the legislation.
The Senator commented about recent news stories that illustrated how employers are keeping relentless downward pressure on worker's wages and using cheap legal and illegal labor to do it, while management is getting huge salaries and retirement packages.
Senator Dorgan said that he has been in the Senate long enough to have seen various pieces of legislation proposed which have been assembled by "gangs of twelve" etc. and all of them claimed to be grand compromises but were without exception terrible bills. He mentioned how their proponents, "puffed up with helium or hydrogen", come to the podium to tout their worthless proposals.
The Senator from North Dakota believes that we already have the laws on the books to take care of the immigration problem, they just lack enforcement. He says that the first order of business is border security.

Uh-huh. Now, a Democrat rides in to save the day, Don Quixote-style, after the public is furious. The Democrats will try to put the blame exclusively on the RNC/GOP to split the Conservative vote.
We need to clean the roaches out of the RNC/GOP, not blindly storm off into a third party.
ND is a border state that could weigh significantly in future Roe v. Wade battles, so Dorgan’s been tagged as the one to be strong on borders, this week.
I heard Clair McCaskil, I know I didn’t spell it right,democrat and I was cheering! She said if we would throw these company’s CEOs in jail we could fix the immigration problem for almost no money! dang I was impressed.
I heard Dorgan trash it last week some time.

Some might. There's a subset of the Rats that are fiercely pro-union and pro-"labor", for lack of a better term. Dorgan and avowed Socialist Bernie Sanders from Vermont are two of them. They're still borderline Commies and nanny-staters, but they're coming at this bill from the anti-capitalist side of things.
I don't think it's so much that people like Dorgan oppose shamnesty. They'd probably love a total blanket amnesty for every illegal in the country. What they don't like is the creation of what they see as a permanent underclass to be exploited. And, of course, they don't like that eeeeeeevil businessmen will make eeeeeeeevil profits. They're wealth redistributors, after all.

Notice the post that came in just below yours. The poster says that they heard Senator Dorgan trash the bill about a week ago.
Anyway, Senator Dorgan has a solid record in support of labor.

It appears that “Republican” and “Democrat” are now outdated monikers: it is now simply pro-America and anti-America (globalist).
We should start a campaign to bring back our jobs to Americans.

Yes. And Reid referring to the illegal immigrants said, “We need to bring all the undocumented Americans out of the shadows.” The “undocumented Americans”! No, they are illegal non-American immigrants who have broken our laws!
All I can say about Dorgan, even a blind squirrel finds an acorn once in awhile.
