The United States has responded vigorously to this crisis. In 2003, I asked Congress to approve an emergency plan for AIDS relief. Our nation pledged $15 billion over five years for HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care in many of the poorest nations on Earth. In the years since, thanks to the support of the United States Congress and the American people, our country has met this pledge. This level of assistance is unprecedented, and the largest commitment by any nation to combat a single disease in human history.

Sorry George we are going to need that money and a ton more to provide for the new citizens you want. Who is going to feed, provide housing, education and medical for them?
Mr. Bush I think your priorities are misplaced.

Bush has obviously been listening to Ken.
Well, maybe even Castro had the right idea after all...quarantine is free.
This freaking loser reminds me more of Clinton every day. All he needs is an intern.
Does this mean the World will like us again?
No border-fence for the people who elected him however...
I just don’t understand whats happened to Bush lately. I just don’t.
The UN crowd will probably think less of the United States taxpayers for not giving “enough”.
As Archie Bunker would have put it, so eloquently, “Geezus Meathead, it’s like pouring our money down the terlit.”
It's all going into the pockets of tin-pot dictators so they buy more weapons to kill their citizens anyway.
This is not the way to build a legacy Mr President, this is not the way. You will never win any love from the left, not that it matters, and in the process you will loose your most loyal supporters. And as you can tell, the erosion has already begun.
“Does this mean the World will like us again?”
I get a chuckle when I see lefties say that in these matters,
unwitting puppets of Big Pharma pr campaigns
Bush has been deep in the Drug Co. pockets for years.
In fact his strongest anti-comnpetitive acts relate to drugs, like keeping out imports from our NAFTA partner Canada.
I’d say he’s a deeply corrupt man, but suspect Rove/Norquist feed him with enough lies he might think he’s doing the lesser of two evils.
It’s not just Bush, it’s the entire socialist, uninformed, morally and intellectually bankrupt Congress of the United States.
Try testing them first to see if they really have it, instead of relying on clinical symptoms that mock other diseases.
Who funds the drug cocktails for those infected in the U.S.? Has the number of those testing positive risen here? I wonder if Jesus healed those with STDs? Did they have STDs?
