Mary Cheney gave birth today to perhaps the most anticipated baby in contemporary U.S. politics -- her first child, Samuel David Cheney, whom she will raise with her longtime partner Heather Poe.
The 8-pound, 6-ounce boy is the sixth grandchild for Dick Cheney.

“Lesbians are not known for their long relationships.”
And heterosexuals ARE known for their long marriages and relationships, as we all know.
It doesn’t hurt that the Cheney’s are well off financially, either.
He was given life by Mary Cheney. Would it be better if he had never been given that chance?
A new life has been created and he has a loving family that welcomes him. That isn't SAD. That is a blessing that will result in a happy life for him and his ENTIRE family.
I would say at a certain point you just get to a "both bad" level. Anyway, to say that one thing is "preferable" over another is really meaningless. I would prefer a child be raised by a man who rapes women rather than a man who rapes children. But both are unacceptably bad. That's just one example. When you get to the bad-for-kids level there is no point in ranking the particulars. It's just bad.
What makes this extra bad is that it is a scenerio that never has to be. Lesbian sex never produces children.
Love the sinner, hate the sin.
The cute little boy will be just fine, as most people are who have intact, extended families.
I wish Mary and her proto-family all the best. It’s still a new life in the world.
Not necessarily. I've known some women who hated men who were not lesbians. They were merely bitter harridans who had wanted a man, but never been able to either get or keep a man because of their selfish, nasty personalities.
So judgment and shame are good so long as it is you who are doing the judging and shaming? Interesting.
Is that in Lesbian years?
Something to think about, thats for sure! I had two sets of acquaintances in CA; both gay women, both in long term commited relationships. One couple adopted kids with special needs (mostly deaf). These kids were so smart! All the kids in the family signed and many spoke as well. The other couple were both highly respected nurses; one of them was inseminated by the same biological father. Brothers and grandparents served as the role models. The nurses were pretty well accepted by the area in which we lived, sort of a suburban conservative SO CAL area. They flew the American Flag. They were good people and excellent nurses.
Is that what they're calling it nowadays?
No, probably not. Which is why we need to illegitamize this child's birth, and deplore his existence. /sarc
If they had a negativity to men, then why bother having the child have his picture taken with Mr. Cheney?
It’s not shameful to deplore homosexuality.
It’s shameful to call VP Cheney to disown his own daughter because she’s a lesbian, and questioning whether the baby will have a good future.
My 2 cents.
Or women who has never know the love or kindness of a decent men and believe that all men are cruel and torment women.
He has two grandfathers who love and are loved by their daughters, and at least one uncle, so he has some good male role models right there. Hell, Dick Cheney is a good role model for anyone.

Why, are they ashamed of something?
Your 2 cents are worth the babies out of wedlock and children without fathers.
Why no pic of the two loving lezbos and child?
I believe as you do! How the child developes will be left up to God and Mary and it does no good on this forum to prejudge her......
