Someone else posted a thread here with a story that was written in the Las Vegas Review Journal, before the video survellance tape came out. Below are the video links to ABC-Las Vegas Action 13 News, with Investigative reporter, Ben Deci.

Your husband’s observation was right on the money.
“That is F^^^ed Up.”
I’ll probably be in the minority but I am glad the ACLU is here for situations like this. Of course I wish they didn’t have their head’s up their collective a** about religious freedom and because of that I cannot support them.
But they do some good in cases like this.
How about Freepers calling the Mayor of LV and let him know that we won’t be travelling to his city—it isn’t safe!
Seriously, this could have happened to anybody. Seems like an innocent person expressed reasonable dismay and suddenly found himself in a “this can’t be happening” nightmare.
I learned from tonight's episode of ER that torture of innocent Iraqis is a common occurrence, and that people who support the troops are terrorists who bomb antiwar rallies.
there was a thread on FR today about it at about 1pm (pacific) if I remember correct. read the story, links and posts for a true horror story. it is not for the faint of heart and it is a perfect example of the reverse racism now eating away at our country.
I think that was the last episode of ER I’ll be watching...
We’ve pretty much decided too that Las Vegas is no longer a spot we want to visit. Basically, it sucks.
FYI, I just registered boycottlasvegas.com
If they continue to take the position this beating was justified I think that the only thing the city may understand is loss of money.
I will try to raise awareness through a boycott and will welcome other who want to be involved.
I’ll get control of the domain within 24 hours.
I’ll search for it, thanks.
I’d like to see someone post this story over at DU and see if they cry about the use of tasers now that’s it’s not some college kid crying about the Patriot Act. I doubt the other story would raise and eyebrow, though I suspect many would blame the victims (9/11 = our foreign policy; TN = slavery)
I am very sorry for what happened to your husband. Please tell him that we are so very grateful for his service to our Country. We are blessed to have such brave men defend our Republic. May God bless you and your husband. I will pass this on.
>>Always thought I’d like to vacation in Las Vegas. I was wrong.
If they’ll treat a soldier like this, what chance does anyone else have?
Las Vegas is now Off Limits for me.<<
I agree and would welcome ideas on how best to use the domain, boycottlasvegas.com that I just obtained.
I can’t watch the video as I’m on dial up but I’ll take your word for what I’d see. Sounds some Vegas cops are in dire need of tune-up. There are good uses for wide stretches of lonely desert.
Thanks, see here also

Would this be covered by Congress’ new hate crime bill? Imagine if the races were reversed, the media would be playing up this story 24/7 calling for support of the bill ala gun control every time a shooting happens.
The boycottlasvegas.com idea is brilliant. We really need to let the Mayor know about this. If he see this story getting legs, and a boycott fits that bill, he’ll look for somewhere to place the blame (the offending officers).
I’d suggest:
1. Tell the story by posting details including the videos and cell phone links, a message from the family (maybe let them post/respond to posts/provide updates). Provide some background about him and his honorable service.
2. Call for a buycott until justice is served. Give out the local phone numbers, give out Reid’s number, encourage phone calls.
3. Link up with the ACLU person (they have great access to a wide market) and get them to help push it.
4. After you start getting some hits, include a hit counter and/or pledge to demonstrate the numbers and send a clear message.
You might check out other sites like defendthedefenders, and other boycott orientated sites, i.e. http://www.boycott-riaa.com/

Thank you. Excellent ideas.
BTW, if you ever want a domain, registration plus a year of hosting was only $23.94 Somebody had boycottlasvegas.org but they didn’t have the .com
mark for later viewing
Last one:
Come up with some catchy contest or something - i.e. a dollar for them not you (ok, not catchy at all, but you get the drift)....instead of giving money to LV, people can give money to the Englands....this is their website:
This should come as no surprise look who their senator is. These boob cops are most probably Reid supporters. Screw Las Vegas I can lose my money at a lot of other locations.
