Sellout. It may be harsh, but its the most accurate and succinct way to sum up how conservatives feel right now about President Bush and Senate Republicans, who have cut a deal that would grant amnesty to the estimated 12 million illegal aliens living in the U.S. not to mention the parents, spouses, and children of these illegals.
Title VI of a draft copy of the bill breaks down amnesty visas into three categories:
Z-1 Illegal aliens present and working in the United States up to Jan. 1, 2007. Z-2 Parents and spouses of illegal aliens qualifying under the Z-1 category. Z-3 Children of illegal aliens qualifying under the Z-1 category.
These Z Visa holders can stay in the Z status indefinitely, which means they never have to pursue a pathway to citizenship. They also would be able to get Social Security numbers and benefit from some welfare programs. Shockingly, there is no cap on the numbers of amnesty recipients in the draft language. The only thing the Z Visa holder cant do is vote until, that is, a liberal judge declares this limitation unconstitutional or until a liberal president can railroad through a technical corrections bill.

the key word here is senseless. Do they really think that this will get the people they give amnesty to or their supporters to vote Republican?
That’s if it is 12 million. Mark Taylor, filling in for Prager today, said there are credible stats that put the number at 20 to 25 million. 12 million! We wish. Probably double.
The Walk on Water Conservatives didn’t like Bush’ half a loaf so they end up with none. Nice work immigration conservatives.
Pray for W and Our Troops
Yeah, and Bush is just sitting back and laughing at us!
Not sure what you mean..
I think the American people are going to hold “all” of them accountable not just the GOP. When I’m out socially, the topic of illegals is a hot button with people regardless of their political affiliation. IMO, these ego maniacs think they’re in Congress for life and that we’re too stupid to do anything about them. Their arrogance is beyond what I can describe here in civil terms. All of them suck and they aren’t worthy of calling themselves Americans.

More it’s not amnesty, but it is doubletalk.
Not sure what you mean..
water toter to the bitter end....
President Bush’s legacy will be destroying this country.
Consider New Zealand.
One would almost think it was planned that way. The end result of passing an amnesty bill against the wishes of the American people could be, unfortunately, violence. Then what do we get? Martial law?
Don't have to worry about which candidate will protect your 2nd Amendment rights because those rights won't exist. They've already ignored our Constitution, what's pushing the envelope a little more and essentially declaring it null and void...for We, The People anyway.
I’ve heard it’s very beautiful there, but isn’t the government run by lefties?
It IS amnesty. You know it, I know it, the Senate knows it.
A rose by any other name...
Hugh Hewitt and Mark Steyn said just about the same thing
Citizenship is really not the issue so much as allowing them to stay and work here despite entering illegally. They will receive SS numbers giving them rights to our entitlement systems, which are on the verge of collapse. They will also be eligbile for other benefits like Medicaid, Earned Income Credits, etc. This is an unmitigated disaster.
AND PROVIDED that those who are not citizens do not qualify for the Public Dole in any way except for the cost of a plane ticket back home should they lose their job.
Sounds good, but that is no going to happen once they start paying into the entitlement programs and federal and state taxes. The Dems and the interest groups like La Raza will expand the benefits even to these "non-citizens" and their children born here will be Americans entitled to every benefit.
Are you kidding? Foreget what they’ll do in the future...La Raza and other similar groups WERE IN ON THE NEGOTIATIONS on this bill!! They were practically given veto power.
I’m serious.
It a better deal in America to be illegal than legal. Just think of all the benefits and rewards offered.
I'm with you. What else can we do to protect the citizenry of these United States of America? It's making me meshugenah just thinking about the impact of this 'comprehensive' travesty.
What’s bizarre, Mexico is a rich, rich country. Silver mines, oil fields, timber, etc. That’s what is missing from the massaged and managed public “debates” on the issue. Sure, the US can absorb poor immigrants, but why is it even necessary?
