Dear Lord, no! Not a writers and actors strike! Will President Bush have to be called in to mediate? This could be devastating to the economy and security of our nation (/sarc/).

Maybe they will all go broke, and we will not have to listen to their anti-American liberal tripe anymore — ah, what a nice thought.

With all the frequent reruns during the year, and with the numerous series cancelled after just a few showings, and with all the movie ‘remakes’, how could we tell Hollywood writers are on strike?

Yeah, and with all the movies on television now about 50% commercial time, it is hard to even follow what movie it is -— big shell game ?? :-)

All the Sci-fi network shows are made in Canada.
Maybe the Food Network will be forced to bring back the real Iron Chef programs...MST3k reappearing, Two Fat Ladies...Talk soup with Kinnear or Skunk boy, reruns of the Dennis Leary roast...
Why is it I should be concerned?

So basically this means more reality tv shows and more movies ripped from comic books.......so what exactly have the writers been doing lately anyways?

Whatever is bad for Hollyweird is good for the rest of the country.

Good. Films coming out of hollywood lately have been horribly bad. Directors change too much of what writer’s write and inject their own liberal politics.

Remember when a full "season" was upwards of 36 shows?

Between the commercials, the bugs, throwing off the starting times by a minute or three, the leftist agendas in the story, is it any wonder that people are fleeing, not to the another one of the four hundred channels with nothing on, or a dvr, but to alternative leisure activities?

There's always the Drudge Radio thread on Sunday nights. Of course, Drudge hardly ever fails not to gossip about Hollywood and its offspring.

I may not notice a strike in the “entertainment” industry. Nothing worthwhile has come out of Hollywood lately and cable TV is all reruns anyway.

I always blamed ABC’s progarm “Moonlighting” with Bruce Willis for that one. They even had joke meetings in the program where the executives from ABC planned on cutting the amount of yearly shows.

If you want to watch old shows, go to yourtvlinks.com. I’m watching all the Twilight Zone episodes. I still have a year and a half to go.

King Kong was the last film I saw. I'm usually a couple a year moviegoer, but lately all the political stuff they've been churning out has turned me off.

Even the summer of sequels seems a bit banal - get original, producers - give us some good values stuff for a change.

Nothing in hollywood is important when it comes to movies and the so called stars.

I have no interest in movies because I refuse to give any money to Hollywood.
