I am not of that mind. This has been a problem long before Bush got here. I do not understand how so many of these people are known to be roaming around with no legitimate purpose of being here. My nephew was engaged to this girl from the UK (an elementary school teacher) and she had to follow all these rules. It was very difficult for her. I just don’t get it. But no, I don’t think this is Bush’s fault. A lot of those congress critters have been up there for decades, mostly the ones always pointing fingers.

I don’t bash the President. I understand he has hard choices to make. But on the other hand I seriously wish he would not invite anymore Saudi students here or take in displaced Iraqi’s here either. I wish he would have some border control too. I think we are far too nice to the Muslims, by adapting to them instead of them adapting to us... If thats bashing then I am guilty but in my eyes its just plain old common sense and my personal opinion. ~P~

Your right I don’t know for sure that the Patriot act was used in this case. But I do know that after the initial tip from the person in the store there had to be a ‘’follow up’’ investigation. Perhaps tapping phones, surveillance, looking at computer records, patterns etc. A lot of this .I believe would be a lot harder to get at , in our PC society,if not for tools like the Patriot act. Which I believe should be used along with all the other necessary tools we have like citizens tips, throwing out illegals aliens ,etc, to stop terrorism! IMHO! ......Politicians who oppose the Patriot Act, which (within constitutional limits) increases the tools the government can use to investigate suspected terrorists inside the United States, or who refuse to support enforcement and tightening of our immigration laws, need to answer one question: Are they helping or hurting our efforts to track down the Hazmis and al Mihdhars who may be running free in America today?

Love the pic!
Has anyone gone to www.cubetv.com ?
They have a Koran song that is priceless.
To: DooDahhhh
Dont worry. They need just one successful hit. After we get hit, the federal government will be busy deporting them so as to protect them from US citizens. It will get obscene.

We should let the patriot act expire.
After Dems take control of the white house, the patriot act will be used for political persecutions of people like us on this web site.
All freepers get ready for tax audits when Her Highness uses the patriot act to finger us.

I am sure that any candidate could be found with questionable links. So I check their info. very carefully, just to make sure what exactly their links are to any special interest groups that I find to be questionable or anti-American. Always follow the money trail. Reminds me of Clinton and Albright’s photos with Yassir Arafat. The candidate I want is less beholden to any special interest group...someone who has the sense to close our borders!! Any GOP mailings I get...I write “Close Our Borders”...and return with no donation.

I don't think you understand how much power the government has to stop terrorists even without Patriot Act.
Just as it was in the huge Soviet-era spy cases like James Jesus Angleton (a top CIA official was spying for the Soviets), all the national security apparatus and screenings and surveillance was of little use. Turns out he only used standard intel methods like dropboxes to communicate with his Soviet paymasters. He was finally caught, not by some whizbang system to monitor the entire population electronically, but by ordinary methods of detection of spies in your midst. This has been the case over and over again.
It is not about security. It is about control and especially the illusion of control. It is about a federal bureaucracy that is always bent upon total surveillance and control of the population. These persons actually welcome any attack on us or any compromise of our security, hoping as always that the foolish Congress will sell us all down the river for their pie-eyed schemes of "security".
They could care less if you get nuked if it doesn't threaten their bureaucratic hides. Your security is meaningless to these creatures.
I sometimes wonder if the government told some of you that it was time to line up for your little tattoos down at the DMV if your only response would be to cheer and applaud.
Most people in this country these days are pathetic creatures of the State who are in no way heirs to the lovers of liberty who founded this country. Liberty and the Constitution will not long survive the small and timid men who cower waiting for the State to feed them, shelter them, smooth their path through life, and most of all, lure them into believing that their worthless lives may be prolonged by a few more breaths if only they will surrender every notion of privacy to their beloved protector, the State.

Terror Suspects Spent Time In The Poconos....More Pocono Info. - Interesting Excerpts CBS3/AP) GOULDSBORO, Pa. While staying in the Pocono Mountains to practice at a state firing range, some of the men who allegedly planned to attack Fort Dix damaged their vacation rental with paintball pellets and drew the attention of security guards....
Inside the Poconos rental house, about 90 miles north-northwest of the Philadelphia area and New Jersey's Fort Dix, defendant Mohamad Shnewer played laptop computer videos that showed U.S. Military vehicles being attacked and destroyed, the federal affidavit said.
"Shain Duka pointed out that a United States Marine's arm had been blown off, at which point laughter erupted from the group," the affidavit said.
Ed Wilson, 66, a cemetery director from New Jersey who has had a second home at the resort for 20 years, said he remembered his wife telling him after 9/11 things would never be the same.
"Apparently, she was correct. No matter where we go in the United States, we'll have to keep looking over our shoulders or scrutinize the person standing next to you in the elevator," he said. "Beware America, I think we are really in trouble."
The shooting range used by the suspects is located down a dirt road in a remote, wooded area. On Tuesday, two men were practicing at the range.
"It's a little disturbing to know people like that are able to come around to my area and practice using weapons that they might use on our military," said Jude Pembleton, 32.
Steve Fefzchak said a person shooting a semiautomatic weapon wouldn't raise many eyebrows.
"It's definitely out in the middle of nowhere," he said. "It's game land, anybody can come here. Look at it, there's me and one other dude here. Who would even ask questions about it?"
Gouldsboro Tavern Owner Christi Wood says two of the men, Serdar Tatar and Agron Abdullahu frequented her bar, she last saw them four weeks ago.
"They came in sat down, had drinks, (one of the guys) even got into it with one of our customers because he's a very big patriot," said Wood.

So even while these Islamic Muslim Terrorists scumbags are here in our country..Illegally..they are planning to kill and maim our soldiers...and even "taunting" those who are Patriots. Our PC culture has gone waaaaayyy too far...there was a day when starting that type of taunting would have someone knock the snot out of these types of scumbags. Those who had the snot knocked out of them usually deserved it!

"It's a little disturbing to know people like that are able to come around to my area and practice using weapons that they might use on our military," said Jude Pembleton, 32. I agree. Only law-abiding Americans should be able to practice with weapons like that, so we can use them on people like that.
