Who cares about France. No matter who wins, they are still going to hate us.

We care about France. The many hundreds of FReepers who have been posting on these threads and taking great interest in this election.

This is a great opportunity for France. A great day for France, and a great day for Americans. A strong, pro-American France as a friend, ally, and trading partner is very important to us.

In addition, no more “freedom fries” and we can drink French Champagne and wonderful French wines again.

Sorry...you are wrong. I was over there in December for a week and stayed in several French homes. Many, many French citizens are just as fed up with the liberal, socialits, marxist, abetting, corrupt governmental policies in their country as we are in ours.

They are voicing those feelings in the vote today and I believe it will make a difference...they sure hope it will.

Those folks I spoke with, who feel this way, still, to this day, hold the United States in high esteem. I hope we give them reason to continue to do so in our own next election cycle, instead of ourselves turnig to the very thing they are now rejecting.

“Who cares about France?”

I do. Despite it’s problems and current politics, France is (or was) a great country and culture. France is part of Western civilization and Western civilization (of which the USA is a part) must stick together against the Islamofascist terrorist war against America, Israel, the Jews and all of Western and Anglo civilization.

Sure, there are many things to dislike about parts of French life and politics, etc., but overall they have added much to world culture. And all Frenchmen are not “cheese eating surrender monkeys”. There are some tough French military.

I admit, much of Europe and the UK are disappointing today, but it’s not over quite yet.

America and the world need Europe and it’s culture and contributions to a more rational world civilization.

We must stick together against Islamofascism and it’s backwards, primitive, barbaric and savage culture, beliefs, behavior, religion and plans for a world caliphate.

The French people probably do not hate us. The (old) government of France and the leftist French press hate us. The French people like most Americans are sheep.

Its France. I thought the first to concede wins, something about being therefore more qualified to conduct foreign affairs.

There are a few conservative freepers that live in France. But the majority of the French still hate us that is true.

Apparently the one who won doesn’t hate us as much. One must look on the bright side.

The difference I think, like what we saw in England under Blair, is that one person does make a LOT of difference in the official attitude and decision.

The previous government/ruler/socialist? An enemy of the US.

The only thing I care about france is that they have like a gazillion nuclear weapons and this huge Muslim population and they are all a bunch of cowards. I worry about France more than Iran. At least we could (theoretically) attack Iran. What do we do if France falls under the control of the towel crowd?

“Who cares about France. No matter who wins, they are still going to hate us.”

We should all care about France, one of the pillars of Western civilization.

Time to buy a bottle of Freanch wine...
