Tunes For The Troops
This week we have some progresive music from the late 60's thru the 80's. Next week we'll move along to the 90's & 2000's along with some progressive metal music.
Progressive rock, sometimes shortened to prog or prog rock, is a subgenre of rock music which arose in the mid-to-late 1960s, reached the peak of its popularity in the 1970s and has continued as a form of popular music to this day. It is commonly associated with symphonic rock and art rock.
The selections below are just a sampling. This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!
Enjoy the varity of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays have provided throughout the thread. Please ping LaurenMarlowe with your requests for the Troops.
All music is removed on Monday. Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!
*Canteen Mission Statement*
Showing support and boosting the morale of our military and our allies military and the family members of the above. Honoring those who have served before. |

I hope we never have another storm like that one. I was just thankful that we live on high ground and that there weren’t any tornadoes with it.

if my resume had in it all the things i could do...
i just got finished refinishing the wood floor in my daughter's entryway...it was too nice to cover up with linoleum, as I was planning to do for her. Change of plans... floor cleaned up nicely, needed some touch up sanding and staining. now is waiting to cure before the poly goes on. my dad taught me to do alot of things! i never dreamt i would drywall while working on a political campaign a few years ago!! ::laughing::
in the arts...i can work with a camera, love to work in clay (masks, jewelry, vessels, whistles, etc) raku firing is my favorite, draw in charcoal and pastels, paint some with acrylic and mess with watercolor a little, like to make paper, create collages, sew... ROFLMBO the list could go on and on... just don't ask me what i have had time to do in the last year! the list would be QUITE short.
