Tunes For The Troops
This week we have some progresive music from the late 60's thru the 80's. Next week we'll move along to the 90's & 2000's along with some progressive metal music.
Progressive rock, sometimes shortened to prog or prog rock, is a subgenre of rock music which arose in the mid-to-late 1960s, reached the peak of its popularity in the 1970s and has continued as a form of popular music to this day. It is commonly associated with symphonic rock and art rock.
The selections below are just a sampling. This music is provided for the entertainment of our Troops, Veterans, Allies & their families!
Enjoy the varity of musical selections that the Canteen Deejays have provided throughout the thread. Please ping LaurenMarlowe with your requests for the Troops.
All music is removed on Monday. Thanks to all the DeeJay's for their time & effort providing entertainment for the Troops!
*Canteen Mission Statement*

This stuff I’m picking tonite is from my first job working Top 40 Radio.
I love the guitar in the Chris Isaak song and The Rembrandts have some good stuff out there as well.
Top 40 “pop” radio died somewhere in the late 90’s and I wish it would come back.

Thanks for the Saturday Sortie, Alfa! The MiGs are pretty awesome machines, even though they fought against us.
Prayers for the people in Kansas who are having more than their share of bad weather. We are under a tornado watch right now, too....but most of it north of us.
Thanks for entertaining the troops with your expertise!
