Ever since that late morning is Dealey Plaza Dallas Texas, November 22nd 1963, the soul of America has been tortured by lingering doubts about the official version of the murder of President John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The Chief Justice Earl Warren was appointed by Lyndon Baines Johnson to head the official investigation, the Warren Commission. After reviewing all the evidence, the Commission's final report named Lee Harvey Oswald as the lone gunman responsible.
In 1966, the book, Six Seconds in Dallas, raised important questions pointing to evidence which indicated that there was more than one shooter. More than one shooter would indicate a conspiracy, so the next question would be "Who else was involved"...

It’s been my theory for years that LBJ was behind the assassination of JFK. No one had more to gain than LBJ. Kennedy was planning to drop Johnson from the ticket in ‘64 so LBJ had to act quickly.
And no one more so than Lyndon Baines Johnson who was thereby elevated from a footnote (one term as Vice President) to the most powerful man in the world.
From WIKI:
6.5 x 52 mm Italian Mannlicher-Carcano M91/38 bolt-action rifle with a six-round magazine Serial number C2766 Western Cartridge Co. ammunition with a 160 grain (10.37 g) round nose bullet Side-mounted Ordnance Optics 4 x 18 telescopic sight
No slouch of a round in that weapon though.
Found the following sometime ago. Have heard guys argue these points endlessly.
The M1891 Paraviccini-Carcano rifle, often misleadingly referred to as the Mannlicher-Carcano, has been adopted by the Italian army in 1891, along with the rimless 6.5x52 mm ammunition. The rifle was developed by the team, led by M. Carcano, under supervision of the government commission, led by the general Paraviccini, at Terni state arsenal. Name of the Ferdinand Ritter Von Mannlicher, noted Austrian arms designer, is often used in conjunction with this rifle because M91 uses modified Mannlicher-type magazine with en bloc clip. All other features of Italian rifle are quite different from Mannlicher designs. M91 rifle was available in several modifications, including long infantry rifle (Fucile di Fanteria Mo.1891), short cavalry carbine (Moschetto Mo.91 da Cavalleria, adopted in 1893), and carbine for special troops (Moschetto per Truppe Speciali Mo.91, or M91TS in short, adopted in 1897). These rifles served as a standard with Italian army until 1938, when it was decided to replace 6.5x52 ammunition with more powerful 7.35x52 ammunition, based on the recent experience in North Africa. New pattern of the short Carcano rifle, adopted in 1938 as M38, was technically similar to M91 rifle, but had shorter barrel length, chambered for 7.35mm ammunition, and had fixed rear sights, set to 300 meters range. Since 1938, many of the 6.5mm M91 long rifles were shortened to the M38 length, which was much more convenient to carry and maneuver. With the outbreak of the Second World war Italy was unable to supply enough 7.35mm weapons and ammunition, so, in 1940, it was decided to return back to the 6.5x52 ammunition as a standard. Consequently, many of 7.35mm M38 rifles were rebarelled to the 6.5mm. Some of the M38 rifles, issued to the African corps, also were chambered for the German 7.92x57 Mauser ammunition.
All in all I'll stick with my Sakos.
I bought my first Garand for 165 dollars. I guess the price makes it a crappy rifle? I shot NRA High Power with it for years and really enjoyed it.
I don’t know of any bolt action rifle that can’t shoot a 3 minute group, especially military rifles.
Oswald hit only two out of three times using a scope. A boy scout could have done that on a bad day.
It was typical antiwar hippie crap, but I was interested in the notion of LBJ as Macbeth. I was thinking it would make a good vehicle for a modern version of Macbeth, and in looking into it, lo and behold, it had already been done.
It was well known in Texas among the “insiders” (I certainly was NOT one) at the time, LBJ hated John Connelly. I had an acquaintance in the 60’s whose father had observed a “drunk LBJ going after Connelly with a kitchen knife” and had to be restrained.
A common accusation at the time.
My uncle shot 8mm footage of the school repository building at the time of the shooting. It was recently subjected to modern analytical techniques, the conclusion being that there was activity visible in three windows. They’re not sure exactly what all the activity was, but there was human movement in two others than the one where Oswald was. My uncle was also a witness at Congressional hearings on the assassination. His daughters still have the film in a bank vault.
there was movement in two windows, that were not commonly associated with the sixth floor window “snipers nest” attributed to Oswald? And there was movement in the sixth floor window that we assume to be Oswald? Please clarify.
Didn’t go watch the videos did you? Talk about stupid people and stupid replies. Not just one witness but any number of witnesses saw the forward shot. Shall we talk about the pristine magic bullet?
Awesome info, ruanan. Are there any still available that you could post, a book written by your family, etc?
Sure. Go ahead. Make your case. Me and Shooter 2.5 love this topic.
I presume that if this alleged film exists, the movement in the other windows would be the two Black employees who were directly under Oswald’s window as he fired.
Go watch the videos first.
So, on my deathbed, can I say my ex-wife is responsible for my son being a jerk? Who’s going to challenge on it?
Small hole in, Debris and large hole out.
Sorry that the shot that exited his throat. Go watch the video and see the head shot.
All the silly conspiracy theories regarding the JFK Assassination are ~caused~ by the silly Warren Report theories that Oswald could have made the 'magic bullet' shots as alleged.
It's highly doubtful that Oswald would have been convicted from the evidence presented.
Making assumptions with facts not in evidence on my behalf, I see.
Haven’t gone to Google and watched the documentaries have you?
