So are you going to go take him out hunting? :)
I'll send him out with Dick Cheney if he doesn't back off that AWB talk! LOL.

And what a ticket that would make. Romney-Hunter 08' I do not see it. Hunter is stronger, on both border security and the WOT... vital issues to me.

Missed most of it....heard Rudy didn’t do well.

“I think you would have panned Reagan in 1980 and given him a C-.”
Possibly, but after buying into what Bush was selling (twice) and getting these huge increases in spending, open borders, huge new entitlements, etc...., I’m very scared that Romney will turn out to be the same thing. The Bush presidency has turned into an conservative abomination, if you will. I’d rather just vote for the CP or something if that’s what’s going to happen. Yeh, I’m too scared to hold my nose and vote for a mushy conservative. Why shouldn’t I be?

Brownback sounds like Al Gore, in voice not ideas

Okay, I’ll ping ya if/when I see a transcript.
Right now I’m still open as far as supporting a candidate, but I’m impressed with Duncan Hunter thusfar.

I would say to some people, Mitt comes off as a Boy Scout on steriods.
I know exactly what you mean. But I have to ask myself, is that a good reason to find fault with a capable and serious man? So I have to give him a pass on this horrible flaw of being a decent family man and honest businessman, a guy who is a bit of an outdoorsman (and a renowned rodent-hunter!).
Maybe we say we want wholesome candidates but what we really want is a candidate we can look down on a little. Like voting for GWB even though he can't give a good speech or press conference. Or voting in a moral leper like Xlinton.

Brownback voted against the surge.
You vote that way if you are against the war or want us to loose.

Thonpsom will “aquire cash” at a rate that will boggle the mind after he announces.
A HUGE part of the right is sitting on the sidelines, waitng for SOMEONE they can believe in, and the sheeple are already tiring of the “Never-Ending Campaign” of Hitlary and Obama.

I’ll give Rudy credit for pointing out that the hacks in the dem debate never once brought up “islamic extremists”

Okay, Ill ping ya if/when I see a transcript. Right now Im still open as far as supporting a candidate, but Im impressed with Duncan Hunter thusfar. Hunter was asked a question about being a compassionate conservative.
I'd like to see a transcipt too, but I recall he proudly proclaimed that he was a "compassionate conservative".
Hmmmm...

jwalsh07 - you and mimaw should start your own Ron Paul thread so nobody will disagree with you.Nah, I much prefer to see you and your fellow travelers defend Ron Paul's performance in Congress these past years vis a vis islamonuts.
If agreeing with Ron Paul on most of what he says make you a fellow traveler, then sign me up.
So you've signed on to Paul's policy of singularly assured destruction. I'm unimpressed.

I do not see it. Hunter is stronger, on both border security and the WOT... vital issues to me. Got to agree. Not even sure I'd like a Hunter/Romney ticket.

That was what my initial objection was about him. Here’s the thing, I watched it over the internet as I don’t have cable. I have dial up, so while I could hear it, I often couldn’t see it. The debate went fast so I may have the candidates mixed up. If I’m thinking of the right candidate, isn’t he for the war now? I thought he mentioned the idea of dividing the country according to the factions and using Baghdad as a base. You can let me know if I am wrong on that. The war is an important issue to me. Hunter is my number one pick.
