I had one on Sept 20, 2002 when my Daughter was born. That's right, live thread while by wife was in the hospital, in labor. You MUST give me a link to that thread. I thought I had seen it all.

Oh, I don’t know.... I’m a Romney fan, and I can’t help but get a bit excited by all of you guys, anyway. Well, Thompson is #2 on my list, but all the same.

Fred Thompson is the perfect example of the importance of CONTEXT. Four or five years ago, I wouldn't have been so quick to support him. Yet here I am, actually excited by the prospect.
He is the settled upon AntiRudy. I think this is the main reason he will get the nomination. Republicans are always more motivated when they are voting against something.

Also I love how Fox News is billing this interview as, The Interview America is waiting to hear! Wonder what H&C's ratings are going to be tonight? Should be through the roof.

Mom, thank you for this thread. Mr. Inspectorette and I are on pins and needles waiting for Fred to announce!

He is the settled upon AntiRudy. I think this is the main reason he will get the nomination. Republicans are always more motivated when they are voting against something. That was the attitude I had for a while, but after reading some of his commentaries, particularly those regarding federalism and Russia, I am 100% behind Fred. Rudy now has nothing to do with that.

You’re right. It is fun when Sean tries to get them to announce. And it ought to be fun to watch Fred respond.

Jog -fred -jog. running may causew heart problems....
What is the one thing you want to emphasize that will
get this Republican party up and running...?????????????
I think most of the ones not voting are waiting for the
right leadser..and it is not one of the pandering
Democrats...we need dynamics and vigor to keep the
Presidency...we never should have lost the Senate...the
house is tougher to get back..but we can do it....JK

I’ve been a Romnay fan for years but Fred will be my #1 choice if he decides to run. I would love to see Mitt as his VP. Two guys that are real men. I think they would be unbeatable.

Absolutely wrong. You will find that most of us are ARDENT supporters of Fred Thompson.
This is the only the second time since President Reagan that I have been EXCITED about a candidate.
I will vote FOR Fred Thompson.

I wish my husband was interested. He just votes how I tell him. Heeheehee
Of course, it could be bad if we were both as wound up as I have been lately. :)

Will Sean be wearing his Rudy pin?In all fairness, Sean has had GOP candidates on his radio show each Monday, and he's been nothing but fair and unbiased to all of them. I've actually gained a lot of respect for Huckabee and Brownback due to Sean's segments with them.

He works out at least three times a week. I don’t think running will cause him any problems. :p

I have a feeling that a lot of people are in the same boat as me, initially jumping on the Thompson bandwagon due solely to him being a viable alternative to the top 3, but quickly developing a major league admiration for him after taking a closer look.
