Fred Thompson is the perfect example of the importance of CONTEXT. Four or five years ago, I wouldn't have been so quick to support him. Yet here I am, actually excited by the prospect.
He is the settled upon AntiRudy. I think this is the main reason he will get the nomination. Republicans are always more motivated when they are voting against something.

Republicans are always more motivated when they are voting against something. That was the attitude I had for a while, but after reading some of his commentaries, particularly those regarding federalism and Russia, I am 100% behind Fred. Rudy now has nothing to do with that.

Absolutely wrong. You will find that most of us are ARDENT supporters of Fred Thompson.
This is the only the second time since President Reagan that I have been EXCITED about a candidate.
I will vote FOR Fred Thompson.

I was ready to vote for him in 95, 99, and 03, and I'm STILL waiting for the chance to pull the lever, push the button, punch the card, whatever.
A long time coming...

Shempy: “Republicans are always more motivated when they are voting against something.”
As opposed to the Democrats, who are ONLY motivated when they are voting against something.

I’ve done a lot of voting AGAINST. To me- Fred is a vote FOR, not a vote against anyone.
