I wonder what poor schlub has “got next?” I hope he ignores the dot of red light illuminating his head.

How can he be killed in Iraq when he is in an Egyptian jail?
/sarcasm
I guess the failure to produce a civil war in Iraq has created a civil war in al-Qaeda instead.

The leader of al-Qa'ida in Iraq, Abu Ayyub al-Masri, seen here in an October 2006 video, has reportedly been killed in an internal insurgent fight north of Baghdad. Picture: AFP

The Democrat leader in Iraq is dead? The Democrat leaders in the U.S. will be mourning this day! Pelosi, Reid, Murtha, et al will be wearing black today. Their counterpart in Iraq is dead.

The mainstream media must be experiencing "shock and awe" right now. They have come to believe their own lies, that is, that we should withdraw because we haven't created the conditions on the ground which would enable us to stabilize Iraq. They've even convinced themselves, and many of their readers, that IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to stabilize the country sufficiently.
The sea-change depicted in this one episode, wherein an al-Qaida chieftan is killed by an "insurgency" fighting on the side of the US and Iraqi military, is putting the lie to the media's depiction of futility. It is putting the lie to the media's depiction of the "failed" Bush strategy. It is putting the lie to the media's conclusion as to which side's winning the war. It is putting the lie to the media's contention as to what the Iraqi people really want.
When historians attempt to assess how the Democratic Party could have been so stupid as to take the losing side in this war, the answer will be simple: THEY BOUGHT THE MEDIA'S LIES. All of them.
The Democrats and their supplicant media have hoped all along for a defeat for America in Iraq, and thus a defeat for Bush. So the media has engaged in "wishful thinking" reporting from the beginning. The lefty consumers of this fantasy reporting have willingly participated, also in "wishful thinking" mode. The fantasy world they created has caused them to be unprepared for what is coming. They will literally be "mugged by reality".

This is great news. Boy, these bad guys have more leaders then a liberal big city school system has. I guess they have internal issues because of big government too, hence the “internal battle”.

I greatly hope it is true, because it will be a huge victory for us . However we need to wait for the confirmation of the US military, we have heard this before from the Iraqis and it turned out to be wrong.

Body transfered to US custody for identification. [They do apparently have al Masri’s fingerprints on file.]
