That if you don’t post in line with the prevailing opinion of the host, or the moderators, you’ll be banned. When I used to post on the Ann Coulter Forum you would get banned if you accused the Mods of that.
And they made no bones about it. I think it's even listed on their Site Rules.

If you are referring to what other forums say happens here, sorry, I’ve personally witnessed it a hundred times in the past year alone. And thats a conservative estimate.

Every site has their own rules on such things, and the level of enforcement wavers from what I’ve seen over the years.
