Exactly. We don’t need to leave Iraq, but we need to leave the safety and fighting for the Iraqi’s.

You’re exactly right, and I think several of them are taking advantage of the situation.

“but why do we report every single soldiers death as breaking news?”

Its irrelevant whether we report it or not. U.S. patrols in vehicles is a failed strategy. Its the equivalent of Soviet Hind helos in the 1980s. You have guys driving around looking at debris in the road, and as they start to drive by, they closed their eyes, pucker their anus and hope and doesn’t blow up. Is that a strategy? No, its a tactic, and a poor one at that. Again, let the Iraqis patrol, give them up-armored vehicles and ammo. therefore all the Iraqi security patrols and recce will be on request and order of Maliki. We just provide SPECFOR and CAS, as coordinated support, and we down scope our troops to minimum level 20-30K, and develop a protective perimeter around Baghdad. Let Tikrit go to hell or let the Kurds clean it out. This way Bush can say he didn’t leave and he is still giving Iraq a chance to get their act together, and the americans can see their boys and girls come home, and the troops will see less back to back deployments. Sounds like a plan.

“Constantly driving around waiting to be blown up as a battle plan is so incredibly frustrating.”

Wealthy American have much to live for. Poor Muslims have something they are willing to die for (Defeating us, driving us out of the Mideast). Will beats wealth in the long run every time. Harry Reid and even some here are bin Laden’s prime targets and he scores a meaningful hit every time one of these attacks succeed.

Hit Iran hard, NOW.

We don't have the guts and neither does Europe. But Israel has.The 9th Century knuckledragging mullahs in Tehran have either badly misjudged Israel's resolve or they truly *want* to provoke a nuke strike so as to meet their 72 virgins.

Guys, it’s time we handed the place back to the Iraqis.

Have you heard that al-Queda claimed responsiblity for this latest bombing? I don't think giving up is the answer.

The blood of these soldiers is on the hands of Filthy Harry Reid and Red Nancy Pelosi.

I pray that EVERYONE become aware that those soldiers DIED because of the words and actions of the Donkey Congress and the Donkey front-runners for POTUS.

All the Democrats in Congress helped kill our soldiers.

Best suggestion I'v read.

So good, it bears repeating and a BTT.

I would add one thing, though.

Warn the MoHAMhead radicals that we have nukes sighted for Mecca and Medina. One more major attack on American soil, and those places become smoking radioactive craters.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!!

There is no doubt that this uptick in violence is related to the fight now going on in the Congress over the supplemental. This recent car bombing has to be placed into that context. And it needs to be repeated over and over again that we can not lose militarily. The real battle for Iraq is taking place in the US.

Since 2005, Iraqi security forces, military and police, have suffered three times the KIAs we have. I wonder why most Americans are not aware of the sacrifice of Iraqis who are fighting and dying for their country. Or that Iraqi government officials and their family members have been assassinated and targetted.

The insurgents and AQ represent a small minority of Iraqis. They are trying to overthrow the democratically elected government of Iraq. The idea that we can walk away without consequences to us and the region is nonsense.
