We conservatives don't eat liberals, we just expose their leftwing lunacy.LOL IMHO, I think that many of those who have thrown their support behind Giuliani did so because they are as concerned as I am about the WOT and what will happen to us all if a Democrat wins the presidential election. I can understand how they feel but I'm on record as saying that we should strive to find a Republican candidate that is strong on the WOT, and also social issues. I would rather a candidate that embraces more conservative values than less. However, I also believe that the best way to convince someone that there might be a better candidate is to talk to them and have respectful debates on the candidates and where they stand on the issues. How can we convince someone who supports Giuliani this early in the game that they might want to consider someone else if we get into nothing but shouting matches and/or ban their voice completely?
I wish everyone would come together and realize that we all NEED each other in order to keep the Dems from destroying this great county. Some may have to give a little, some may have to give a lot. I don't know. I just know that anyone who claims to be a Republican should want to find the BEST candidate, and IMHO, that candidate is NOT Giuliani.

Why don’t you just go back to your precious board and continue to mock FReepers there?

I learned a lot in those early years.....As the site grew in members, it declined in quality.
Yes. Now the libs have taken over claiming conservativism and the conservatives left. That's what happened.

I didn’t articulate it well but I’m glad you got the point/jist of my post. I haven’t read all the posts on this topic but your post/reply to a post caught my eye so I replied :)

You are absolutely correct. If the GOP nominates an abortionist (.... add 10 page laundry list of Rudy's short comings here ...) the GOP will destroy itself along with demolishing the conservative movement. Congratulations for stumbling onto the obvious truth (obvious to conservatives anyway).I didn't "stumble onto the obvious truth". It jumped up and bit me in the face a long time ago. I'm willing to listen to everyone's views, speak of my own, and I will do my best to not toss the baby out with the bath water, so to speak. Turning other Republicans away as if they aren't "worthy", is not helpful, IMO.

This is alot more civil then when certain freepers are here.
Really? I don't remember reading any thread where the phrases like "Bring it on you stupid b*@3h" were tolerated. I don't remember any thread where other FReepers were actively cheering for dozens long-time FReepers to get banned. I don't remember any other thread that has descended into nothing but a series of needless personal attacks in an attempt to bait those FReepers others don't agree with into getting banned or suspended.
As others have said, some of the responses to this thread have been an absolute disgrace.

Well good. I hope you can support Jim in the manner to which he’s become accustom due to the generosity of all us “liberals” over the years. How dare you.

I didn’t slither away. I’m just tired about all the vile garbage I’ve seen posted on Free Republic lately. That’s what I was hoping would blow over.
As for your stalking, you pop out of nowhere and harass people. I’m not the first and I won’t be the last.
Now, buzz off.

If they can dictate what is posted on a conservative site our freedom of speech is being threatened.
Anyone can go to the cops anytime they like and report whatever they want. It happens all the time. I'm good friends with the sheriff in my town, and the other day when I was sitting in his office I listened to his side of a 30-minute conversation with a woman who called to report that her neighbor was using voodoo on her.
Forgive me if I doubt the FBI is going to beat down your door and cuff you.
I'm curious as to why you felt it was necessary to ping someone else in your response to me.

Think of them as conservatives instead of Republicans. Then their self-imposed banishment makes perfect sense.
