They already did.
Probably nothing that the police haven't had since Monday when they took his computer....I'd be fairly certain it was all composed there.
It sure has gotten all the newsies hyper this afternoon, though...
Did the University know of his “mental health issues”? That question will be worth 250+ Million Dollars.
I thought that needed repeating.
How would gun store owner know the BATF form 4473 was wrong and the person is lying on the form?
> This person was illegally in possession of a firearm.<
This is the kind of stuff that has to be caught by the instant background check. You can’t rely on the individual telling the truth. The trip to the mental hospital was voluntary, and thus was covered up to protect the poor dear’s privacy.
And now 31 innocent lives have been snuffed out.
bttt
THe newsies are pinging harder than a bunch of 8 year olds after a suger feast.
(.....shiver ((( ))).....)

People wanted him to slip through the cracks. The police / campus authorities didn't want to deal with another problem, and his peers didn't give a tinker's d*mn about someone who was "different."
Sometimes, society produces monsters. I'm rather amazed it doesn't happen more often, to be honest.
(Which is not to say some people aren't just full-bore nuts from the moment they're born, but I haven't seen any indication of that here. This guy seems to have been building up his hostility slowly over many years.)
Isn’t that a form with Check-off boxes?
I mena, if he checked “no” then how’s the gun dealer supposed to know?
Hellfire and brimstone, perhaps?
I am sure the MSM will get around to figuring this out sometime around, oh ... *checks calendar* October or so.
Any unsolved cases of missing young women either nearby Blacksburg or eleswhere in Virginia? The question needs to be asked. There is a certain profile here.
Governor Eyebrow’s Fault!
So how did this guy end up in the suite with the other guys? Most people pick their roommates—maybe someone dropped out and the school plunked this psycho in the empty bed?
I would NOT be happy if it was my son who was stuck with this guy, and didn’t know he was nuts!
Unless the background check has the information the dealer is in fact taking the word of the buyer. However, as others are pointing out here, lying on the form makes the purchase illegal and the person illegally in posession.
The MSM's drooling reporters are loving to be able to report that he was able to legally buy the weapons. But if he lied on the form, he was in criminal possession from the start.
So a DWI from 1985 keeps you from getting a LTC, but being a dangerous lunatic is a matter of privacy?
Technically, he committed a felony by lying on the form, even before he took possession - so he was a felon in possession at that point.
