Just heard the shooter has been described as ASIAN looking. They don't know if if he was a student or not. There is also some conflict in these reports. TWO incidents. ONE SHOOTER (declared) but the cops are saying there is no evidence yet to declare the incidents are linked? Watch out. If this was a case of Sudden Jihad Syndrome, it will be covered up, especially if there was really more than one shooter and one or more got away. If this was a planned attack by a terror cell this could just be the first in a series....

CNN had video showing some police and hearing the gunshots, I believe someone reported earlier, but alarming number of shots during the scene.

Doesn’t look like a jihadi. The perp was probably caught preparing for the deed when leaving his dorm. Someone probably quizzed him regarding his “bandoleer” getup. He killed that person and injured another, to enable him to get to his target at the engineering hall. He was probably flunking out and blamed the prof and the other students as being against him. Paranoid whack job... There was one in IA a few years back involving an Asian, and I vaguely remember some others.

Yeah, VT does have good security, but it really is an enormous campus, and the cops there can’t be everywhere at once.

Oh my god! A student has reported that this guy was looking for his g/f and went in and started made lots of students get into a line and started shooting them excution style.

The Texas Tower shooter, Charles Whitman, was not a Vietnam veteran.

Thank you for posting that. I was just about to go find out for myself. The 'crazy' Vietnam Vet is something that we need to get away from. As the widow of a Nam vet who faced employment discrimination because people thought these vets would go nuts and commit violent crimes (thank you, MSM), we need to put this one to rest. There are plenty of reasons for people to go off; you don't need to have seen combat, in Nam or elsewhere, to be a nutjob.

I did notice a number of uniformed ROTC students. Wonder if that had anything to do with it. Just wondering at this point.
