And now, with Les Moonves and CBS firing Don Imus, (and despite his not being a conservative) each and every conservative radio host from Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage on down is now fair game for Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and their anarchistic mob of would-be moralistic dictators.

"Rush will be the next target."
There are some key differences. First, only Rush can fire Rush. And second, Rush actually makes money and has a following that sponsors can't ignore.
Anyone who works for a company like MSNBC should be aware of the ground rules. Glen Beck ought to be looking for plan B, C and D, because if anyone, he is the one walking on the thin ice of a weak kneed, liberal employer.

Imus is gone but Mike Pace still gives away millions in 60 seconds on Powerball.

This is not Sharptons doing. This runs deeper, I suspect, and it is not over.
Because Don stepped over the line by constantly referring to She Who Must Not be Named as "Satan" and the "most evil person on the planet". THAT is why Imus had to be silenced. There is an election coming up, after all.

I've never had any use for Imus, but the lynch-mob psychology behind this entire episode is truly frightening.

Imus came out supporting Kerry last election. And against the swift boat vets IIRC. (maybe I’m thinking BOR on the latter)

The Greaseman got fired for a really dumb comment referencing the dragging death of James Byrd in Texas. He is back on DC radio - 1160 AM in the mornings.

The dirty little secret on the elimination of Don Imus is that, although generally liberal, he was strongly opposed to Hillary Clinton being elected President. Al Sharpton, the point man in taking Imus down, is an ally of Hillary. He has served as an attack dog for her in her rivalry with Barack Obama for the Democratic nomination for President. Furthermore, Hillary attacked Imus earlier and more strongly than either Obama or Edwards.
The Clintons are the masters of strong arm politics. Unlike Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, Savage, Beck, etc., Imus was dependent on the MSM and national advertisers who are easily cowed by the likes of Sharpton and Jesse Jackson. Imus was an enemy and vulnerable, so he has gone down.
Barack Obama and John Edwards better stay away from small aircraft in their travels around the country. They should also take care of what they eat and drink.

I believe Rush mentioned earlier that the LA Times had already listed him as a Conservative in a story today.

Ann Coulter is right - we do need a rulebook because clearly there are different rules for libs than there are for Republicans and Christians.Except Imus is a lib and he's Jewish.

Does this mean that Sharpton now feels that he is king of the hill?
