When was the last time Al Sharpton raised a dime for anyone but himself??? I don't particularly care for Imus, but this is waaaay out of proportion.
I remember when he burned down his meeting hall and offices in Harlem and tried to blame it on others.(shades of the Reichstag)He got away without charges for that little ditty.
Well they want all of us to focus on “white bgotry” and completely ignore the racist things they say and do.
And another thought on CBS...if this kind of behavior offends the management at Infinity...why then did they continue to throw millions at Howard Stern?
I don’t believe he paid a dime of his Tawana fines. If memory serves me his “church” paid them.
He also transferred all of his assets to his wife at one point to try and avoid paying the court awarded damages.
I also know Imus' hospital and ranch helps children of all colors and degrees of illness. How quickly folks forget.
LOL that’s great. Hi CC, thank you for the ping - hi everyone! I agree with Clint, employers have the right to fire employees if they get out of line. If Imus has a solid fan base, why can’t he go out on his own, get his own sponsors? I also agree that this is extremely hypocritical on the part of Jackson and Sharpton.
I know that a payment was made after they went after him for it, but not sure if it was him or others that settled the penalty.
And, he refused to file Federal Tax returns for 1986.
