She thinks she has a mandate and she thinks she’s smarter than everyone in the Bush administration.

In short, she’s a fool.

Worse. She really is a nutcase and of all the idiots and loons in the "party of the big tent" (freak show) not before have I seen one that was genuinely dangerous. Stupid, morally retarded and despicable, yes. But not dangerous like nutjob nancy.

I have said for quite some time that nutcase Nancy really is mentally ill.  As in sociopathic.

This little blast off to Siria is just another example of nancy-knows-best.  Forget the years of war to get to the posistion we now hold in the reagon., nutjob nancy is going to cut a few private deals with the enemy since she "knows" what will occure in the next election.  There is no telling just how badly she has ***ked things up.

Pelosi ignored requests from both the White House and State Department officials to scrap the trip as she set off on a junket to the Middle East, including Syria - designated by the United States as a state sponsor of terrorism.

In nutjob nancys world everybody is wrong or not smart enough to "understand" that only she knows best  And if it ****s up, it will be because the stupid people "interfered"  She is a world class wack job and she will bring unimaginable damage to this country.

Oh, and if anyone is interested is just how sick she is, just how much damage she is willing to do and just how fast she would be willing to sell us out, well... here you go.

Of course, but the Post has an archive.... they at least understand the importance of occasionally appearing to be reasonable, and this is an easy call.

Texas! My state of birth. Wondered where you were. You just missed another warm winter up here. How long have you been gone? Believe me this Freeper noticed. Did you make it to the SD Governor’s party last summer, in recognition of Vietnam era vets?

All of that is irelevant. The important fact is she got to show off her new suit, the one with the scarf.

Not that they care much about George Bush but I’m sure they don’t want THIS woman upstaging THAT woman.

Excellent point, rhombus. I'm sure Mrs. Bill Clinton gave the Wash Post a ring last evening...

Pelosi should be required to justify the millions of dollars taxpayers must spend giving her a globe-trotting trip for her political gain. What do taxpayers get in return for spending this money.

After all, Pelosi’s job is to assign parking spaces around the Capitol building, not conduct foreign policy.

“In short, she’s a fool.”

My guess is the Washington Post has received the go ahead to hit Pelosi by operatives who recognize that her stupidity could become a major political liability.

Just look at that picture of her wearing a head scarf.

The really striking development here is the attempt by a Democratic congressional leader to substitute her own foreign policy for that of a sitting Republican president. Two weeks ago Ms. Pelosi rammed legislation through the House of Representatives that would strip Mr. Bush of his authority as commander in chief to manage troop movements in Iraq. Now she is attempting to introduce a new Middle East policy that directly conflicts with that of the president. We have found much to criticize in Mr. Bush's military strategy and regional diplomacy. But Ms. Pelosi's attempt to establish a shadow presidency is not only counterproductive, it is foolish.

The Washington Post?

In other words, Ms. Pelosi not only misrepresented Israel's position but was virtually alone in failing to discern that Mr. Assad's words were mere propaganda.

Sigh.

And it just gets curiouser and curiouser.

You know, I wouldn't want a congresscritter of any stripe attempting this stuff. This is the big-time. It is not like pontificating on Stephie's Sunday morning show (is that still on?).

As much as I thought Madeleine Albright was a dumb box of rocks, I still would not have supported an effort by Republican members to do her job.

How about that! The WaPo “reported” rather than editorialized the news. Pelosi is a buffoon.

Numerous posters (both here and on other boards) and pundits have made the observation that Pelosi was a woman who made her career riding the coattails of others, and that when put in a leadership position, she would be essentially clueless and fall flat on her face.

Since January, we’ve seen numerous instances of just that—the minimum wage hike (unless you’re a tuna worker), bloating the supplemental defense bill with $25 Billion in pork, and now this latest gaffe.

What next? Stay tuned and find out. I’ve got the popcorn on and it’s gonna be fun watching this train wreck for the next 21 months.

Thank you, my comments mean no disrepect whatever for women who should enjoy and be praised for their God given position in the Universe. Man can try, but he will never ever have the equipment necessary, nor the gentle and loving spirit.

To make sure I knew what supplant I lloked up the word in Webster Dictionary online. These are the definitions

One entry found for supplant. supplant Main Entry: sup·plant
Pronunciation: s&-'plant,br> Function: transitive verb
Etymology: Middle English, from Anglo-French supplanter, from Latin supplantare to
trip up, cause to stumble, from sub- + planta sole of the foot -- more at PLACE
1 : to supersede (another) especially by force or treachery 2 a (1) obsolete : UPROOT (2) : to eradicate and supply a substitute for supplant the vernacular> b : to take the place of and serve as a substitute for especially
by reason of superior excellence or power

Notice the word "Treason in part 1, and in part 2 b by reason of superior excellence or power

In other words she is trying to claim superority over the presidency
