I am so tired of freepers who go beyond conservative and into reactionary. This BS about how women should not have the vote (garbage), how women are necessarily gentle and loving (false stereotype), and how women are really fulfilled by having children (another stereotype) and should stay home and do so (which sounds like Islamofascism to me) gives the conservative movement a bad name.

"The really striking development here is the attempt by a Democratic congressional leader to substitute her own foreign policy for that of a sitting Republican president. Two weeks ago Ms. Pelosi rammed legislation through the House of Representatives that would strip Mr. Bush of his authority as commander in chief to manage troop movements in Iraq. Now she is attempting to introduce a new Middle East policy that directly conflicts with that of the president. We have found much to criticize in Mr. Bush's military strategy and regional diplomacy. But Ms. Pelosi's attempt to establish a shadow presidency is not only counterproductive, it is foolish. "

Clueless, conterproductive, overzealous and treasonable partisanship above patriotism.

I knew there was a reason to never, ever, ever, ever, let the Democrats near power -- we just needed a reminder.

“Can anything stop this idiot ridiculous woman?”

How about elections in 2008 where we throw the Democrats completely out of power?

“GOV. ROMNEY: Outrageous. What she is doing is absolutely outrageous. I’m afraid she has been taking John Edwards to heart. Two Americas, one led by the president and one led by her. There is one America, the United States of America. We have one foreign policy. If people don’t agree with that foreign policy, they can elect new leaders and a new president in two years and pursue a different course. But the idea of having the Speaker of the House, the third person in line for the presidency of the United States, being with Assad, being welcomed and given diplomatic coverage, shots of her on TV and the media and the way she something used by the Arab press is just outrageous.”

Nail hits Hammer squarely. Good statement.

Squared-Away Marine

Dateline:  Washington, DC

Last Tuesday, as President Bush got off the helicopter in front of  the White House, he was carrying a baby piglet under each arm.

The squared away Marine guard snapped to attention, saluted,  and said, "Nice pigs, Sir."

The President replied,  "These are not just pigs - these are authentic  Arkansas Razorback Hogs.   I got one for Senator Hillary Clinton and one for Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi."

The squared away Marine again snapped to attention, saluted, and said, "Excellent trade, Sir!"

The fallout of Pelosi is now sending dangerous shockwaves around the world.

This is already becoming a topic here in SE Asia among the diplomats of other nations ~ that is being discussed among other countries over here is something that I find deeply disturbing.

We have a problem now - a big one - that we need to act on if we expect to be considered a viable country - our nation's failure to act on this decisively will have long lasting effects.

I know I’m late to this party but first, thank you for posting.
I had to read and reread the source, wipe my eyes and read it again.
Shirley, this is one that got by the Editor-in-Chief’s desk.
(I know, I know...whatever you do, don’t call me “Shirley”! LOL)

Now lets see if the AG has the cojones to indict Pelousy on violating the Logan Act?
I won’t be holding my breath.

Kelly

...and now we face the possibility of a potential female President as well.

That line caught my attention. I'm not surprised at what followed.

I'm willing to be called a traitor to my gender in some areas, such as politics. From my readings, I gather that many women lean to the liberal side of the aisle. For sure there are also some who are innately conservative. I'm one and I know a few others.

Women...have lost sight of their real power and value.

I do question your "overworked husband" comment. Where is the compromise between mothers working full-time jobs versus dads having to work TOO hard?

I believe we can lay the blame for a lot of societal breakdown on NOW and other feminist organizations. I don't need to point out the obvious damages resulting from buying into their propaganda. It's all around us.

I suspect that the cost of goods, including homes, would not have soared to the extent they have if families relied on one spouse earning the income.

If prices had to meet the ability of a family to buy the product, and if the adults chose to live within their means, many companies would be left without customers. In most cases, hopefully, neither spouse would be "overworked".

It's a good idea to separate our wants from our needs!

She thinks she has a mandate and she thinks she’s smarter than everyone in the Bush administration.

Even when she's sitting alone on the toilet she's not the smartest one in the room.
