He berated a caller who didn’t like Pelosi by saying “You don’t believe her just because she’s a DEMOCRAT?” (To which I responded “That’s enough for me.”) He said she was on his show years ago and was very pro-Taiwan, and that’s basically the only reason he gave for liking her.

“You don’t believe her just because she’s a DEMOCRAT?”

What other reason do you need?

"The Post is run by democrats but not moonbats................ Nancy went over the line and deserved to be called on it".

Something fishy here.......Maybe the WP is slapping Nancy down because they don't want her to outshine the big fish, hillery.

No kidding—I couldn’t believe he said that. This from the man who said (rightly) liberalism is a mental disorder...

the great creator is still in charge. So whoever is voting or running, they alone will not complete the destruction of civilization.

Amen to that !

Paint her yellow and put her on a t-shirt. At least she would be good for something then.

It’s a real shame what these leftists are doing to our country.

I didn’t like Bill Clinton’s policy, but he was the President and thus responsible for American foreign policy.

It’s imperative our nation speaks with 1 voice; we don’t need 535 members of Congress forming 535 foreign policy decisions.

They’re willing to undermine a lot of our nation’s history.

If Nancy Pelosi wants to play diplomat let her resign from Congress.

Bush can give her some ambassadorship.

You cannot. And frankly she hasn’t done anything to deserve anything of the sort.

Pelosi might be an idiot, but that’s all she is.

Reminds me of these quotes from the Andrew Johnson impeachment.

Blinded by partisan zeal, with such an example before them, they will not scruple to remove out of the way any obstacle to the accomplishment of their purposes, and what then becomes of the checks and balances of the constitution, so carefully devised and so vital to its perpetuity? They are all gone. In view of the consequences likely to flow from the day's proceedings, should they result in conviction on what my judgment tells me are insufficient charges and proofs, I tremble for the future of my country.

Nor can I suffer my judgment of the law foverning this case to be influenced by political considerations. I cannot agree to destroy the harmonious working of the Constitution for the sake of getting rid of an unacceptable President. Whatever may be my opinion of the incumbent, I cannot consent to trifle with the high office he holds. I can do nothing which, by implication, may be construed into an approval of impeachments as a part of future political machinery. However widely, therefore, I may and do differ with the President respecting his political views and measures, and however deeply I have regretted, and do regrey, the difference between himself and the Congress of the United States, I am not able to record my vote that he is guilty of high crimes and misdemeanors by reason of those differences.

The Washington Post has been remarkably astute recently (editorially, at least) and has decided that shamelessly shilling, spinning, and covering for the Democrat Party is a road to nowhere. The paper genuinely seems to have become (gasp!) “fair and balanced”.

I believe that The Washington Post smells New York Times blood in the water - - face it, you will never see an editorial like this one in the fading, brazenly partisan NY Times - - and the post clearly sees itself as the nation’s new “paper of record”.

Congratulations to the Washington Post. They just may deserve the moniker.

Bless you. I learned the value of nurses, recovering from a heart attack. I got more information, and most treatment, except for the implant of the stents, from the hospital nursing staff. Even the cardiac rehab staff was all nurses. A great bunch of dedicated folks.

What an idiotic woman.
Its good to see some FReepish comments on the WP site, but a lot of the other posts are pathetic. The usual tinfoil hat wearing, Kool-aid drinking nutjobs have popped out of the wall to say that the “Joos” deliberately lied to Pelosi at the urging of President Bush.
People like that make me think you should have to pass an intelligence test to use the Internet.

It’s the moonbats’ Nixon in China moment, but they don’t have a clue about the thugocracy they’re embracing.

Precisely. These people will get us killed.

After years of the Democrats watch, all the while not adressing the extremist attacks on our icons & military, you would think that the American people would be scared to death to let them back in control. I thought Pelosi looked pretty foolish meeting with Syrian prez. and putting on that head scarf, and asking Arabs where their female politicians are. Does she even read about their culture or what?

Thanks. I was a cardiac nurse, too. I might get back into nursing some day. This October, I’m heading to India on a medical mission trip with my church people. I’ll do some triage and take it from there.
