But Ms. Pelosi's attempt to establish a shadow presidency is not only counterproductive, it is foolish.

Typical chickensh*t WaPo waffling. "Counterproductive and foolish?" My a**. What it is, is, undermining of the government in time of war. That's dangerous, malignant and intolerable.

It’s the moonbats’ Nixon in China moment

Not at all. The trope of Nixon going to China is based on Nixon having established his anti-communist bona fides for twenty years. The moonbats have never established anything but blushing adoration for mass murderers like Assad. He and the terrorists do what the 'rats wish they had the gonads to do to Americans. That is why the Post covered itself up with this editorial--Pelosi has wet panties for Assad because he is a murderer and she is a groupie whore, but she hasn't earned the right to present her a** publicly or officially as yet.

And the overwhelming Republican congressional response to this as a huge issue is WHAT? (sound of crickets chirping...)

Republican Congressmen are too obtuse to see that the foundations of a slow-motion coup d'etat is being set into motion against the republic they swore to defend. Pathetic.

“Women who fail to see the importance of rearing generation upon generation of honorable and brave men and women of high moral character, have lost sight of their real power and value.”

Actually, I agree with that. I’m a nurse and a lawyer. I was considered quite competent in both fields. Before I learned what mattered, I thought my career was everything.

I grew up, found Jesus, gave up the careers and raised three wonderful kids, with the help of a wonderful man. When I look at how they turned out, I can’t help but think that I serve a wonderful God.

she travels halfway round the world, to visit the Syrian Thug, but can’t be bothered traveling another hour or so to Bahgdad, to visit the troops.

Excellent point! I have not heard any of the commentators take note of this negligence. Good one.

There are as many stupid MEN as their are women.

True, but IQ is not the issue. Rather, the issue is the wholesale lack of, or violation of, normal boundaries by female "liberals." There really is a difference, say, between the run-of-the-mill arrogance of a Jean Francoise Kerrie, and the hypothalamically impaired Pelosi.

Anyone who still takes Michael Weiner seriously should have heard the minutes of his show I heard the other night, in which he defended Pelosi and attacked Bush.

That is really pathetic.

This action by Nancy Pelosi reminds me of a scene in The Godfather.

The Godfather has politely declined to get involved with the drug trade with another Mafia don, and his son, Sonny, starts to say something indicating he might be interested in the proposal, but is waved off by his father.

The upshot is that the Mafia don figures Sonny will be more agreeable to his proposal, so he puts out a hit on The Godfather, to take him out, and have Sonny assume power.

That is the message that Nancy Pelosi took to Damascus.

She'll probably claim she had an epiphany on the road to Damascus and was given a divine message for Assad.

Yeah, that'll work.

I am absolutely amazed at the positive reception by some women of Freerepublic. My own wife says somewhat the same regarding trust and other women. Everything being said, I’m not sure we could return to days of yesteryear, nor am I sure such action would even be wise.

The bottom line, for me at least, is that we are not operating in a vacuum, and the great creator is still in charge. So whoever is voting or running, they alone will not complete the destruction of civilization. There is always hope that lessons will be learned and the majority will come to their senses before the next big hit.

The Israeli prime minister entrusted Ms. Pelosi with no such message. "What was communicated to the U.S. House Speaker does not contain any change in the policies of Israel," said a statement quickly issued by the prime minister's office.

So Pelosi's cracking her lying whip again!!

The many faces of Speaker Pelosi

Applying Evan Sayet's definition of Liberals as indiscriminate to Liberals who style themselves as objective yields indiscriminately objective. Liberalism's indiscriminate objectivism apparently creates a high tolerance for cognitive dissonance:
