George Washington would have had her hanging from a tree for treason by now. That’s the spirit that enabled us to win the Revolutionary War.
Now we treat treason as if nothing had happened, ala Jane Fonda and John Kerry. Same for Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL) who met with the terrorists in Syria in Dec. 2006. The penalty for treason should be death by hanging.

This is the Jimmy Karter style of diplomacy. Make outlandish promises and run to the media saying ‘Aren’t I great?! Look at the wonderful deal that I brokered!!’ The parties that you made stupendous promises on behalf of will either be intimidated to go along when the press is suddenly and without warning beating down their door asking questions, or if they don’t go along, you can say ‘We had this deal all set up, he was good-to-go. I don’t know why he backed out!”

The Post is decidedly liberal in their outlook, but of the major liberal rags, they are, by far, the most likely to take a sensible viewpoint once in a while.
If this had appeared in the NY Times or LA Times as a masthead editorial, I'd have been surprised.
