The U.S. Senate on Tuesday endorsed a March 31, 2008, target date for withdrawing American combat troops from Iraq, moving Congress a step closer to a showdown with President George W. Bush over the war. By a vote of 50-48, the Senate defeated an amendment that would have stricken the withdrawal language from a $121.6 billion bill that mostly would fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. A final vote on the bill is expected later this week.

So..........when did you start just making things up out of whole cloth like this?
Is it a long time habit, or something you only do when you've lost emotional control of yourself?
For the record, I don't get things deleted. That's pure nonsense. Why a rotten fellow used the F word on me just yesterday, and I didn't even post abuse on him.
Sometimes it's good to see who the nutcases are by leaving their posts for all to see.....

I guess you are one of the few that missed the public televised event that was highly reported on in print, on television, on the internet and here where he said he will promptly veto it if it clears the senate. No. I'm one of the ones that watches what he does. Not what he says. When his veto is on the bill and it's been sent back to the Senate then I will believe his words but both Bushes have lied to us too many times to have any credibility in my mind. Jr. is a spineless twerp if you ask me and he's more interested in furthering his daddy's new world order than he is in doing whats best for the country. If he gave a wit about this nation he'd flatten both Iraq and Iran, seal off our boarders by making the Attorney General enforce our already existent immigration laws. And while speaking of the Attorney General if Bush was serious about protecting our nation he would have already been pushing the Justice department to start arresting all the Communists seeking to destroy our Constitution.
I'm not a moderate my friend. If you are then that is your problem because I will continue to say it how it is. I don't care who's feelings get hurt.

I would love to hear the President say, as he vetoes the bill, that since the troop surge is working we're going to send another 20,000 to Iraq. Then we'll be able to leave in 2008 on our timetable not the terrorists, or democrats.
To: TenthAmendmentChampion
Who said anything about Bush? Try reading the remarks again. I'll stay home before I vote for rudy or mcpain. That, you can take to the bank.
Hildabeast, She ain't gonna do squat. Stop trying to scare people into voting for a rino.

I'm not sure processing understands that anyone has the right to respond to her posts.
And I'm definitely sure that she doesn't think there should be any consequences to her out of control behavior.

I will believe it when I see it. How many times has Bush used the Veto option? I think once?

Whatever, but there's no such thing as "butting in" on a public forum. And what rino am I advocating? President Bush can't run again, he's term limited out! I'm only saying we need to support the President in time of war.

He will veto it, and the cut and run party does not have enough voted to overide the veto. They need 67 votes

The Senate has never committed outright treason before.
Anyone who has any doubt that the President will veto this filth, doesn't know who he is.

Since the cut and run coward Paul has announced his intent to run for the presidency, you are about to get a blunt public humilating message to showing how much influence he has with republicans and conservative voters, not much at all. Perhaps but you better start sharpening your knives. For a guy doomed to suffer the slings and arrows of abject humiliation, he is doing pretty well right now. According to the latest Zoby poll, Paul (at 3 percent) (more than Tancredo and Hunter combined and is at 6 percent among women (tied with Fred Thompson). He has made these gains despite the fact that the MSM, Rush, Hannity, and Beck have almost totally ignored him.
