When it comes to opposing the President on something, it seems sort of surreal not to see McCain's name on the list. Has he been ill?

Nah--- they are not spineless at all...
they are power hungry. They want to usurp the power of the Executive Branch, and they want to get to control the Judiciary Branch by cherry picking judges, etc....
NONE of these clowns could endure half the scrutiny they they throw onto others every time they open their mouths...
Congress has all but become a group of gangster thugs...with their own police force, and offices beyond the reach of the law....
I am sick of them all.....
Mr. President, it's (STILL) High Noon. Time to lose the alleged...
"All Sombrero, No Cattle"
...image once and for all.
Put those cowboy boots to good use! And that veto pen. And that bully pulpit....
Praying for you, Sir.
I find it fascinating how freepers can so easily find a way to harshly blame Bush and his appointments for any public controversy.
Clue #1: This is not a scandal. President can fire any of these people any time for any reason. End of story.
Clue #2: Attacking your own party-- especially when they are not up for re election is counterproductive.
Clue #3: Attack the democrats. They are the source of the political problems.
The answer is no.
Talk about a punch in the face to our troops!
Rush was setting us up toward the end of the week for a possible wuss out. Like he did with Harriet Miers.
Chuck Hagel and Lindsey Graham must be spending too much time in the showers together these days.
Everyone knows what this is about. Get Rove. Set a perjury trap, just as Fitzmas did for Scooter.
So, Mr. President, if by any chance you might read the writings in FR, please don't compromise with Congers.
We've had about all the compromises we can stand.
Thanks for the ping.
Better read the facts. Do you really think that is what he said? Why? Because the Wa Po said so?
I don't know how to post the link but at the "Corner" at National Review on line, Kathryn Jean Lopez has a very good piece that starts, in part, with "this morning's headlines could just have easily been "New documents verify Gonzales' claims."
OK,but tell clue #2 to Hagel and Specter because THEY are the ones HARSHLY attacking Bush !!!
Specter and Graham can go suck on a lemon and then take a one way trip to hell as far as I'm concerned.
I hope someone with some wisdom and common sense will advise President Bush this weekend. Please please please don't do something so demoralizing as to back out. You challenged the Congress, now ram it home.
"So, Mr. President, if by any chance you might read the writings in FR, please don't compromise with Congers.

I agree!!!!!!
" Spectre was almost out in the last primary, but Bush and Santorum both threw their full weight behind him. He didn't lift a finger to help Santorum, and has been actively working to undermine Bush."
More proof that old sayings are true and based on experience. "No good deed goes unpunished"
One thing about Rudy, if those pubbies pulled something like this on his watch Specter would wake up with a horses head in his bed.
