Exactly. Only I would add "Doesn't agree with me 100%."

It's absolutely absurd to call the most pro-life President we've ever had, a strong tax cutting capitalist who has appointed two fine originalist SC justices, and a world leader in the war against evil a 'RINO.'

It negates the meaning when used with people who actually are RINOS........like Specter.

Mr. President and all:

"Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

Joshua 1:7-9

Amen.

Compromising with the Dems has certainly worked up to now, hasn't it?

DRUDGE HEADLINE:
Audience cheers as Sean Penn tells President Bush: 'Take your war and shove it'...

Either Republicans must grow some stones, or they will sentence us all to oblivion in the face of Socialism, and Radical ISlam...

Read the article I pointed to. I think it does a good job of summarizing the "spin". In short, Gonzalez said something to the effect of that he was aware of the "process" (ie. they were reviewing possible firings) but was not actively involved in that process himself. The MSM and Dems found one memo that indicated that after the whole thing was set to go and was (or was being)approved by the White House Counsel's office; they mentioned that (ie. set to go and was approved by the White House Counsel's office) to him in a meeting and he "signed off". In short, they are trying to say that he said he didn't know a thing about it, which is NOT what he said. Can you imagine the TRAP they set? If he HAD said he didn't know a thing about it, they would have accused him of not knowing what was going on ....

We need the president to act like an SOB from here on out. There was a time to be nice; it's over.

That's the best plan. Better start working hard now. We lost 2 key races here in PA. Rick Santorum lost to a lightweight who ran on...nothing. Diana Irey put up a good fight against the traitor mothra. It will take an act of God to remove this creep, the roots of his corruption run deep.

Note to Specter, Hagel, Graham, and the like: Support your Republican President on issues like this until your last breath in Congress or shut the hell up! These idiotic RINOs seem to enjoy torpedoing their own party while puffing hard on the loony-Left bong.

Sen. Lindsey Graham, a Republican from South Carolina who serves on the Senate Judiciary Committee, agreed.

Of course. He is a goody-goody former JAG prick.

Hey Charles!

How about a song about using the Veto to the tune of There is Nothing Like a Dame? Or how about some Gilbert and Sullivan?

This is increasingly the kind of virtual "scandal" that now dominates every waking Washington moment, and hence, every one of our own. You thought Plamegate was "made-up", wait till this one runs its course: it is about NOTHING but noise and posturing: we might as well be in a highschool civics class during the week where the students get to "make believe" they are IMPORTANT ELECTED OFFICIALS WITH BIG ISSUES BEFORE THEM/ this has NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING, and LEAVE IT TO THE REPUBLICANS TO "defend" THEMSELVES AS IF THEY ARE ALREADY GUILTY OF SOMETHING, when they should snarlingly go on the offensive and bring up and bring up AGAIN the ONLY comparable parallel: Clinton/Reno firing ALL 93 Attorneys IMMEDIATELY/ they will NOT invoke this, and for that reason, they really do deserve to be put down. They will NEVER learn their political lessons. This "is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing". I give up. I will henceforth only tune in to see how something already very bad, just gets pathetically worse.

I saw the headline in the Free Republic list and almost choked on my tongue.. then I opened the story and saw who those Republicans were and wasn't surprised at all.

What the President has offered IS a compromise. Its a compromise because the Congress has no right to inquire into the decison-making process of the Executive. The appropriate response to the subpoenas should have been "Stuff It" Thus, offering to answer questions that you don't have to answer, to people who have no right to ask those questions....I'd say, that's a compromise.
