I want to keep talking about the environment because it's very much on the minds of people here at Marriott and around the world. Global warming has been getting so much attention recently, especially with former Vice President Al Gore's documentary - An Inconvenient Truth - winning an Oscar. I'm a movie buff and I saw the film and thought it was very sobering.

The Marriott chain is a huge Mormon famliy owned operation. They need to be have more confidence in God that we are doing the right things with the planet then leaving mankind in caves without food and medicine, travel and experiencing what we are here for.
Willard (Mitt) Romney was named after J. Willard Marriott, founder of the Marriott Empire.
Just a bit of trivia....

Comment: The only "sobering" thing about al gore's documentary is that it contains assumptions not based on science and a combination of cherry-picked facts, half-truths and outright lies. Mr. global warming al gore is a total hypocrite when it comes to the environment. He travels on private jets, had three huge homes and worst of all he is buying these supposed carbon credits from a company which he is the CEO and co-founder of. Al gore is a total fraud and I'm sorry to hear Mr. Marriott lend any credence to anything that gore has to say on global warming.
*LOL*..OK AJ
I doubt I'll leave a comment, but if I did it would be something like, "The only thing sobering about Al Gore's documentary is that he was once a heartbeat away from being the leader of the free world."
Correct me if I am wrong, but didnt FORD many years ago adopt some of the green movement (as it was called back then) that would do their part to help the planet and add cost to their product? Given the news all last year about Ford, I wonder how that marketing ploy worked out.
"...I saw the film and thought it was very sobering."
Mr. Marriott was plastered, stumbled into the theatre and watched 'An Inconvenient Truth', then sobered up? Was that bad, eh.
Not to be rude but how does a Mormon know when something is sobering?
I saw Godfather, it was very sobering.............
Good comment!
Nothing related to Al Gore is "sobering".
He drives me to drink.

Marriott should close their resorts and hotels since they are wasting energy and enabling people to travel wasting even more energy.
