Haven't seen the poster who claimed earlier that the President would cave. Like the 'rats, our friend from North Carolina misunderestimated GWB. I'm not surprised.

Understood. They did cost us the 2006 election.
But, I don't think they'll be costing us the 2008 election.
They are tiresome and offensive to any side of the aisle.

I think you are right, but then, I thought we would prevail in 2006. LOL

During Waxman's hearing yesterday they were asking about Rove's role in shaping the environmental science. Waxman wanted those emails too

Well, he is almost right on one thing : Dems are going to put too much effort into this "firing" nonsense, and after they lose this particular fight without "getting" Rove and/or Gonzales, it's going to be another "big time" letdown for their rabid nutroots...
Dems would do better agreeing to getting the documents and private "fire-side" chats with the staff and "move on", but Dems always had more hate than sense, and this one is going to bite them in the arse.
Serendipitous - yes, but will be sweet nonetheless. This will be like a lemonade made from lemons that Alberto harvested by himself.

Hello Peach! Good to see you. My freeping has been off also. I'm tired of fighting the same fights over and over, dealing with more and more derogatory language aimed at the Pres.
I refuse to give up though.....

Thank you for posting the whole transcript, which I just read. There is one glaring lack in what the President said. Nowhere did he take the press to the woodshed for its abject failure to report that other Presidents, namely Reagan and Clinton, had replaced ALL 90+ US Attorneys with less caterwauling by the press and the opposition party than Bush's replacement of a mere 8 of them. See below for more information.

LOL. Yeah, right. Coming from a dunce like you, your assessment of me is laughable.
Here's a sample of your intelligence...lol.
Another issue is the boarders.

I didn't see the entire hearing but those particular questions were directed to somebody from the Bush administration (I think some policy or budget type guy). They were asking about about an EPA report they didn't think the administration appropriately considered and wanted to know Rove's role. It was ridiculous but revealing.

It is good to see the President stand up to these rats. I hope he fights them tooth and nail every step of the way over the next 22 months.

Agree with you about Cornyn but he needs another term or two (depending on what happens).
Downside: he's from Texas
Upside: He's extremely conservative and articulate and, need I say, good looking?

"It is time for those of us who have been called traitors on this forum because we are not 'pure' enough conservatively to fight back and not let these one issue people take this country to hell."
Amen to that, Howlin. I will personally vote for a Yellow Dog over a democrat, even a mangy one.
But I hope I can vote for Fred.

Yes, but it is also interesting that Justice led the list with 24. Several were secretarial and paralegal positions. The State Department only had five. The numbers are still small compared to the number of political appointees. The employee unions watch this with an eagle eye.
