I think Spector will hold fast, but somebody like Shays might bail. The best bet, IMO, is the Blue Dogs. A lot of them got in by the skin of their teeth in GOP districts. They won't go off on partisan witch hunts just because Pelosi wants it...

Sometimes the judge's hair just makes me want to scream, especially when he's spouting inanities.

I would have never voted for Kerry. IMHO he is a Traitor.
I have a big problem with what is going on with this country. For instance, did you know that the Rules of Engagement? I first heard about it from Insight Magazine. I decided to confirm it with some Vets that just came back. Sure enough its true. I will put it to you this way. If we would have fought WWII this way. We would have lost, or still be fighting it today. To sum it up its basically win with the minimum use of force. If you use max force, then you risk going to prison. I am mad at Bush because it does not have to be this way. He is the Commander in Chief and he can easily change this.
Another issue is the boarders. Do I even need to go there? Oh and now I am hearing about letting the homos back into the military. Then compound that with Bush caving into the Environmental wackos.
Now please tell me where am I not conservative on these issues?

And what was Matthews' reaction to that? Did he argue with the guy?

A White House can't usually put up fights when its party allies on the Hill won't fight at all. This fact doesn't stop the detractors who seem to think the White House is a throne. And they do this while claiming pure allegiance to the constitution.

He kept trying to get the guy to say that Rove had something to do with his firing..but the guy wouldn't bite.
Chrissy did go on...later in the show...to posit his theory that the Pres. did this today..because the war in Iraq is going so badly...that he wants the country's attention on a court fight with Congress...and not on the disastrous war.
He even suggested that since Pres. Bush knows that Gonzalez is not popular, even with some Republicans..that he doesn't mind putting Gonzalez out to take heat from Congress..just so long as American pays attention to that instead of the war in Iraq...
Of course.. Chrissy still says this is all ROVE's doing...LOL

If ANY Republican had said that regarding a Democrat or anyone on his/her staff, the first thing you'd hear would be the rest of the Dems and the media hollaring "WITCH HUNT!"
What's next, Schumer and Co. listening to one of the ex-US Attorneys testifying that Gonzales had turned them into a newt?
(they got better...)

Looks like W made a bunch of these posters look like the a-holes they are! Haven't seen the poster who claimed earlier that the President would cave. Like the 'rats, our friend from North Carolina misunderestimated GWB.
To: Howlin
They all hate Rove. During Waxman's hearing yesterday they were asking about Rove's role in shaping the environmental science.

That's an interesting report. So only 111 employees converted from political appointees to civil servants from '98 to 2001. That's a much lower number than I'd previously believed, but the GAO breaks it down pretty impressively.
