"President Bush and President Calderón Participate in Arrival Ceremony"/Hacienda Temezon/Temozón Sur, Mexico/9:04 A.M. (Local)
PRESIDENT BUSH: Buenos días...
...As President, I've worked to strengthen the ties between our two nations. Mexico was the first country I visited after I became President of the United States. The United States and Mexico are partners. We're partners in building a safer, more democratic and more prosperous hemisphere. And a strong relationship between our countries is based upon mutual trust and mutual respect...
...I share your commitment to building an Americas where the poor and the marginalized begin to feel the blessings of liberty in their daily lives. I respect your views on migration. Because we're working together, I believe we will make good progress on this important issue. Together, we're working to ensure that we have a secure and modern border that speeds the legitimate flow of people and commerce, and stop those who threaten our common safety and prosperity...
...The United States respects rule of law. But in the debate on migration, I remind my fellow citizens that family values do not stop at the Rio Grande River, that there are decent, hardworking honorable citizens of Mexico who want to make a living for their families. And so, Mr. President, my pledge to you and your government -- but, more importantly, the people of Mexico -- is I will work as hard as I possibly can to pass comprehensive immigration reform...
...Today, the most important ties between the United States and Mexico are not government to government, they are people to people. These ties include churches and faith-based institutions that serve people on both sides of the frontera...

"Amazing that our President doesn't see what is wrong with this picture!!!"
He fully knows whats going on, and he's willing to push it further.

North American Union. This is what Bush is working towards.
Very disappointing. I trust Giuliani on this issue more than Bush. Disgraceful.
Well, something stops at the Rio Grande because Mexico is a dump.
I dunno, a dhimmit?
Look how he uses form and formalities in "his" offers, while the Mexican swine smugglers and the corrupt governances running them don't have to use any, calling us racist yankees on the way while laughing to the bank.
It would not be so bad if at least we got a bit of respect in return, but it's not what we even ask for, we simply want franc and free argument.
If one must pay respects to get his own money at the bank simply because he has money, then it's not freedom. To be imposed of a formality while others can fondle our under pants freely would call for some cow boy action... bam. Shoot the bastards.... but nooooo, those days are over, thus say the modern fools living in utopia.
He's talking down to us little people again. There's no point in him listening to us, because he knows what's best.
Perhaps it's time for a new thread on FreeRepublic called
"Pray For President Bush To Do His Job".
Traitor who should be impeached from office and charged with treason. But we all know that will never happen. Some right here on FR would love to come to his defense.
Makes me sick. GW started his presidential days looking like one of the greatest in history, and he is going out as much a traitor as Bubba Clinton.
I am about ready to call my Senators and Representatives to push for them to get behind efforts to impeach GW.
Quisling? Quisling Bush?
Collaborator?
Hey George! Guess what? You are supposed to be working for the people of the United States of American, not Mexico!!!
If we are to support them and there "excess" workers then we might as well have access to the land and to the NATURAL RESOURCES of that land.
If they are going to exploit our welfare system and "good nature" we might as well develope the land and resources they have wasted.
I'm tired of giving the wealth of this country away to people who don't appreciate a damn thing.
Bush's a$$-kissery is positively Clintonian.
"Traitor who should be impeached from office and charged with treason. But we all know that will never happen. Some right here on FR would love to come to his defense."
I have a feeling the George is going to leave this country for his new rancho in Paraguay when his time is up. George is turning out to be nothing short of a criminal.
"Hey George...you left your backbone at home again!!"
You're wrong. He's got backbone enough to tell his countrymen to go to hell and sell them out. George is doing someone else's bidding I think.
Watch it, buddy.
You'll bring the Fair Traitors and Bushbots out of the closets again.
He handed Congress to the Democrat Party on a silver platter in 2006 and placed Congress and the Presidency in jeopardy in 2008.
It is true that 9/11 was never repeated because of him and that his tax cuts stimulated the U.S. economy to unprecedented heights of prosperity;
However, because of his stand on illegal immigration, the Supreme Court's ridiculous "eminent domain" decision (he has certainly taken no stand against it!), and his expansion of federal entitlements to include prescription drugs,
Bush has lost my support!
I never thought I would say that, but there it is.
What a major disappointment from the man I thought was going to be our Country's saving grace.
