Denis......"My politics are no matter, but I'm not.....it's not like I would vote for Mr. Libby if he ran for office."
YES, Denis with one "n"......we know that very well. We know that there aren't many........Repbs..... on the Wash Post staff.
This is incredible.

"Fox reporting Libby guilty on all five counts"
Ahh, Fox News. What would we do without your accurate reporting? /sarc
To: Jake The Goose
"Both of these scum could have put this mess to rest the day after
it hit the papers."
So could David Gregory, Andrea Mitchell, and Bob Woodward. If they wanted to. It stinks that members of a profession supposedly dedicated to getting the public the truth would allow this travesty to spin out the way it has - and to profit by it. Another example, if one is needed, of why you can't trust the news media.

media is hammering on the seriousness of the verdict, less likely to be successful in appeals due to 4 of 5 chages [guilty] verdict...That's so typical of the garbage spilled out by MSM outlets on a daily basis. You don't have to pass bar exams to realize that if the points argued on appeal pertain to all five counts, the number of counts on which he was found guilty is totally irrelevant.
My guess is that the outcome of the appeal will hinge largely on the party affiliations of the three-judge appelate panel that will hear the case.

To me, that shows they already had their minds made up and convicted Libby because they didn't have Rove or Cheney.Or convicted him for the same reason that some here say Fitz wanted the conviction -- to make it easier to go after Cheney, Rove, Bush -- or even Reagan posthumously. They are all still sure Reagan was behind Iran-Contra, which was some terrible crime against humanity, the Constitution and Jim Wright.
To: maggief
Saying the maggot jurors are imbeciles is true, yet irrelevant. They almost appear smarter than Libby's attorney.

It was taking a rest until you dragged it back up. You want it both ways, huh, punk? Well, you can't have it that way. Move along, punk.
Two cents change.

Why he didn't just shut up and say, "Can't remember" is beyond me.You're right. He should have been covering his butt instead of trying to answer the question. Sad but true in political life.

"Apparently some of the jurors have been commenting that Libby was essentially small fish and "Where's Rove, Where's Cheney?""
When that reporter said that I thought that was grounds right there for a mistrial. Why was that important in the jury's discussions? That comment shows clearly they wanted to bring someone down and they wish it could have been Rove or Cheney instead of Libby.
This isn't gonna end here. Next we're gonna see the dems come after Cheney viciously. I believe this will give more amunition to the dems to start impeachment proceedings against Bush as well.
All I can say about the jury's decision is--it sucks!

If this case doesn't motivate the conservative base to take back control of the government from the post modern, fascist Democrats, I don't know what will become of this country.
The Law and Order wing of the republican party is far too strong for conservatives as a whole to voice stringent enough opposition to the govt to effect the kind of change you're talking about.

If it's our Denis this is a big indication of far-left lunacy.... "PEOPLE FOR THE AMERICAN WAY" is a far-left propaganda organ masquerading as a "civic education" group.
