I would say the argument boils down to realism vs idealism ....I think you need a bit of both
It's a beacon to those of us who support you and the conservative values of Free Republic.
Because I don't waste my time on people like you; you're here to disrupt and you're willing to lie to do it.
I can see the difference between republicans who think they're conservatives and phonies you pretend to be conservatives. I wish you could.
Oh, the plunge happened the night we got called treasonous liberals and last night when words were flung about that discredited every right thinking Republican.
Conservatism is dead, long live partisan hackery!
Come on EVie, you know whats up with it ...
what a sick comment
Absolutely.
You're a complete asshole; for you to call me a murderer is beyond the pale, and only shows what a vacuous nasty-assed poster you are.
You are what turns people off to the right to life groups.
No worse place than where they're getting us right now.
Now, as to whether conservatives and win-for-the-sake-of-winning party hacks share the same principles...that's another question.
RINO happens to be the kindest name I've been called, but we've taken it to mean Rudy Is Number One. And I think it's that frontrunner status among Republicans across the nation that is causing general hysteria.
And you're surprised? This place is LOADED with that crap 24/7 now, haven't you noticed?
Yes, they do, but they have a different agenda. They are engaged in a power play for the reigns of the RNC and they are failing. They are attacking the moderates and anyone else with a different social opinion then their own. In doing so, they have damaged the party. Nearly destroyed it and this will be obvious in 2008.
So who is the culprit here....Me??????? Or the nasty new meat eating fish that are new to the tank?
Obviously your issue is guns, and Rudy is a big city prosecutor. Big cities, hate guns....
Not just some of them, but all of them and us country folks can't really understand this concept.
I don't particularly like ex-procecutors for this reason.
If you feel this way about Rudy, then you should feel the same way about Judge Bork! You should be glad he was Borked!
There are exceptions to most rules in politics, but the unappeasable does not see them. I think the key to good politics is knowledge, and we cannot have too much of it. I think Judge Bork, regardless of his first amendment opinions, who have been a asset to the court at a time when we needed on badly. So there are always compromises. I also think we could have done without the Harriet Miers debate. It damaged the presidency and she never received a single debate or vote in the Senate. It was a travesty.
There are alway grey and tan areas in politics. Always.....
I believe reality will start setting in on April 1st.
That's absolutely correct. However, I believe that President Reagan was in office during part of that time. He was very opposed to abortion, but it's still there. The same with President Bush.
The simple fact is, we have FAILED when it comes to abortion simply because we keep expecting politicians to do something. And as long as we're fighting each other, we will continue to fail. So when you talk about blood on hands, don't neglect to look at your own.
That is disgusting!
If you support rudy because of this, knowing full well he actively avoided military service (the draft) and raised money for a militant gay group with ties to an anti-war communist outfit, I'd say you are fooling yourself.
So, you're claiming that I'm "Fierce Allegiance?"
Prove it, troll, or admit you're a liar.
