The termyou are looking for is CUT AND RUN POLITICIANS
not funny
I like it!
What it comes down to is the main principle they have is they have no principles. They remind me of the anarchists that you see burning and throwing bricks through windows in Seattle. They don't want any law and order.
I can't believe that people have been whispering about having Kirk run against Durbin in 08.
He just lost any support I would give him.
Dude!

Keller has been slaughtered all over florida talk radio and central florida (his district)has called for him to step down and resign from his position for his vote. He had to take to the airwaves and explain why he voted the way he did and that he is for funding the troops but he will not support sending the additional 21,000 for what he calls "someone else's problems...a civil war".
Did not go over well AT ALL.
Thanks for the posting. I feel so hoodwinked by Kirk. You bring up some good points. But the one thing he akways wa clear on was security and the military. This is a serious breach.
Last week I went to a hockey game here in Tampa. Frequently they have a special guest they call the "Hero of the night". They put the spot light on the person and introduce them. Its always someone in uniform.
This time it was a guy who was awarded the Bronze Star for actions in Afganistan, Iraq, and the horn of Africa. Not sure what his activities were or which one of those it occured. The cheering was too loud. The cheering got even louder when they announced his actions led to the death of senior Al Queda leaders.
During the wild cheering for this guy it occured to me that the support for the war was at an all time low. /sarc
Are you the senator from Alaska? :)
The term "political whore" is particularly applicable to this vote.
That scumbag Gilchrist is my representative. Every time I see him on TV I want to choke him. He is beyond RINO. I fully expect him to join the Rat party very soon.
Thanks for the flag. Have contacted Slimebag Gilchrest, my rep.

Lieberman Warns of Potential Constitutional Crisis over Iraq Posted by HitmanLV to bnelson44

"Dubya's going to get his arse tanned and impeached before this is all over."
Didn't take long to find proof...you do this every time you come here only to sow discontent. Just admit it.
"Where in the Constitution does it say the president has the authority to declare war? The last time I read it, it said that Congress shall declare war."
And to authorize letters of marque and reprisal and to authrorize the use of military force. You DO NOT need a declaration of war for the President to use military force. The third-largest war fought by this nation -- the American Civil War -- was fought without a declaration of war. Of the 176 times that the United States has used force -- including such things as the Quasi-War with France through the Gulf War, only five declarations of war have been passed by Congress.
The President's actions were authorized by two "use of force" resolutions, including one specifically authorizing the President to use force against Iraq. That was constitutional -- and something for which Congress has "Constitutional authority." It may not be adquate Constitutional authority for those orbiting the planet Nimrod, but it has been accepted as law from the ratification of the Constitution forward.
If Paul does not like that there are Constitutional tools that are available to him. They can recind the use of force resolution through an act of Congress. They can defund the war. But there is NO - nada, nichts -- "Constitutional authority" for Congress to play Commander-in-Chief. The way that Constitutional Authority Only Paul chose to go.
And the last Representative that "did not want it [my vote] anyway was John Bryan. He told me that to my face. I said fine -- and then rolled up my sleeves to see that he was replaced. It took two tries, but we replaced him with Pete Sessions.
I know we've tried this 3rd party thing before and it resulted in a Clinton presidency, but we need to reconsider a second try. We are not being represented by these self absorbed jerks. The names of each of The Gang of 17 should be etched in our memories and they need to go.
IF YOU WANT CHANGE, GET OFF YOUR @$$ AND DO SOMETHING LOCALLY !
(well said!)
The Victory Caucus

MoveOn.org grew out of the impeachment crisis, as lefty Democrats grew disgusted with Republicans and with what they considered to be round-heeled Democrats.
Today The Victory Caucus is seeing tremendous traffic for a site that is five days old, and an impressive commitment of resources from virtual volunteers around the country. Before long the Caucus will be identifying the congressional districts which have twice voted for George W. Bush but which are represented by Democrats. It already has a list of the 17 white flag Republicans up. I expect a great deal of effort to go into the identification of candidates for these 68 districts, candidates committed to supporting victory in the war.
Leadership isn't going to come from the Hill which didn't even whip today's vote. And time-serving backbenchers like Lawnboy Ric Keller aren't going to get a pass. Their colleagues in the House GOP should refuse to shield them from the political fallout. Today was a significant day for seriousness on the war, and the clarity the vote provided is very useful indeed.
The effort to recruit, support, and elect victory Congressmen is going to require a great deal of effort, and NZ Bear has set up easy to understand ways to get involved. The first set of tools are there, and the Victory Caucus is not going to pursue any other agenda except victory in the war. If that matters to you, get involved and tell your friends about it.

Well no, that's a slam to our women soldiers and Marines serving in combat areas, who have more gonads than these traitors.
Don Young is a bear. Usually he is a mild natured bear, but when he gets torqued off only Ted Stevens can match his ire, which he did today.
