I don't see any polls of "the GOP" on here anywhere.

Joke polls should be left to the Treason Media.

Bull. People talk a good game, but staring down the barrel of four years of a Hillary presidency I'm sure that most conservatives will discover a newfound love and respect for Giuliani/McCain.

Interesting that the percentage of those willing to vote for a liberal (R) Republican are about the same as the national polls that favor Giuliani. So while only approximately 1/3 support him, how does he propose to pull the party together?
Or is he merely a stalking horse for the liberal left to regain control of the White House?

This poll is slanted and designed to ask people their preference between Rudy and Beast or some third party or stay home. Do we want Beast to win?

The worst reply on a thread by a Rudy Rooters was "They do not want conservatives as they will get more democrats voting for Rudy".

Looks like 181 will vote for a 3d party. 50 will stay home.

I'm hoping that it won't be that close, though.

What this poll and post doesn't reflect is that Free Republic is not an arm of the GOP and it's members are diverse. We have many Libertarians and Buchananites here who would vote third party anyway (or at least poll that they would..)
A poll doesn't reflect what will really happen when one goes into a voting booth and has a real choice to make.

I am sure there will be many people who won't mind a few RINOs after experiencing what happened in November. Having just 1-2 more RINOs in the Senate would mean we wouldn't even be debating these stupid 'non-binding' resolutions on Iraq or a minimum wage increase..

Yeah, that's what Dole thought too.

Vote for a liberal, you'll get liberalism.
Don't vote (D/L). Don't vote (R/L). Don't vote for a letter of the alphabet.
Vote for a philosophy. Vote for a Conservative.

I will not vote for Rudy. I'm not liberal. I'm a Conservative.

Its not quite surprising news but it does reflect what the outcome in the general election would be.

Stay home + third party is clearly ahead.

Like when Mr. Perot ran and f'd up the party ..

Then again, in some ways Perot told both Emperors (Parties) that they had no clothes. The Republicans figured this out in 1994...then promptly forgot about it.

Vote for a liberal, you'll get liberalism.

Not necessarily if one thinks strategically. If a couple of more L/Rs (RINOs) were left in the Senate, we wouldn't even have these stupid liberal bills to debate because the party that represents the liberal philosophy wouldn't have power.

My philosophy, vote for the candidate that continues forward progression for Conservative values, even if it is only 10% momentum it is better than putting the car in reverse.

Well if they are going to pick a liberal Republican than that will happen. Ridiculous that this should even be considered. It is a shame that the Republicans have gone so far left that you can't tell a difference between Republicans and Democrats. You know if a liberal Republican (Rommney and Guiliani) ran against Nebraska Senator Nelson...who would be more conservative??? Probably Nelson. That is a sad commentary. (Yes I know that Nelson is not running, just an example of the disaster that the Republicans are making).

If the libertarians and moderates choose Rudy, it's their fault if Hillary wins.

It's not like the Conservatives haven't warned them. If the Conservatives have to choose between and liberal or a liberal, they won't vote at all.

The Conservatives didn't leave the Republican party. The Republican part left them.
