Harvard’s Faustian Bargain America’s oldest university selects a dreadful president.
City Journal ^ | Feb.11th, 2007 | Heather McDonald

The feminist takeover of Harvard is imminent. The Harvard Crimson reported yesterday that the university is about to name as its new president Drew Gilpin Faust, dean of the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study. Harvard’s Corporation, which is likely to recommend Faust to the university’s Board of Overseers for confirmation, could not have more clearly repudiated Lawrence Summers’s all-too-brief reign of meritocracy and academic honesty, or more openly signaled that Harvard will now be the leader in politically correct victimology.

My father and grandfather must be rolling in their graves. Both were Harvard graduates and my dad use to be so proud of his alma mater, but quit donating money years ago when they totally bent to the left.

Unfortunately, this is the direction Harvard is heading. (Or has headed.)

Talked to a friend in an ancillary construction industry located in Boston and he noted Harvard is booming with new buildings going on land they purchased probably for big $.

Add to that a 2 Billion endowment, and we may get gobs of more left leaning lunacy.

It's funny, we hear a great deal about Exxon's profits and CEO pay, and not one word about how this endowment may be utilized?

Geez, and they coulda picked Marx Sue Coleman from the People's University of Michigan or Lenina Ann Simon from the People's Michigan State University, either of whom would have fit the bill.

A few years ago Harvard made an offer to any despot that if they would relinquish power they could get housing and a position at Harvard. Never heard any more about that.

"Harvard’s Faustian Bargain: America’s oldest university selects a dreadful president."

Was this ever in doubt? What's next liberal feminist secular humanism in every classroom? Forced quack vaccinations?
