LANSING, Mich. (AP) More Michigan residents have a favorable opinion of Republican presidential candidates John McCain and Rudolph Giuliani so far than they do of Mitt Romney, according to a poll released Friday by Lansing-based EPIC-MRA.
Fifty-nine percent of the 600 likely voters surveyed statewide said they had a favorable opinion of McCain, while 55 percent said the same of Giuliani and 38 percent said that of Romney.
The poll, conducted Jan. 31 through Feb. 8, had a margin of sampling error of plus or minus 4 percentage points and sampled voters of all political stripes, not just Republicans.
Romney's lower numbers might be attributable in part to the fact that he's the least known of the top three GOP contenders, even though his father was governor of Michigan from 1963-69. Nineteen percent didn't recognize his name, while McCain and Giuliani's names were recognized by all but 3 percent.
Twenty-six percent of those polled had an unfavorable opinion of McCain and Giuliani, while 18 percent had an unfavorable opinion of Romney. Twelve percent were undecided about McCain, 16 percent about Giuliani and 32 percent about Romney.
On the Democratic side, 50 percent had a favorable opinion of New York Sen. Hillary Clinton, while 45 percent had an unfavorable opinion and 5 percent were undecided.
Eleven percent didn't recognize the name of Illinois Sen. Barack Obama. But among those who did, 47 percent had a favorable opinion, 18 percent had an unfavorable opinion and 24 percent were undecided.
Right, Hillary and every other democrat possible must be defeated.
I tend to agree with you about McCain's prospects in the GOP primary. However, if McCain stumbles through to the general election, most Conservatives will reluctantly support his candidacy. They will think that this scenario is a nightmare, but the more rational of the lot will conclude, that there are things much more worse than a nightmare.
2. DEFEAT Hillary Clinton, Marxist, student of Saul Alinsky & ally and beneficiary of Soros.)
I have seen a brand old dirty politics that has given the Northeast all the Rino's and that is Dems switching parties in primaries and sending $ to the weakest Republican Candidate. Do we send $ to Obama to keep the pressure on her coffers?
Someone needs to start a list of states where Rudy is leading in the polls. I'm pretty good with Excel spreadsheets. :)
I couldn't care less about that rabbi's opinion.
You hoo. I don't care.

WOW! A whole $1000! WOW!
Founded on June 26, 2001, McCain's Reform Institute for Campaign and Election Issues has long served as a nerve center for the socalled "campaign finance reform"movement a movement which has done nothing to clean up campaign finance, but has done a great deal to empower federal judges and government bureaucrats to regulate political speech, in defiance of the Bill of Rights. Now here's the kicker. The list of donors published on the Reform Institute's Web site reads like a veritable Who's Who of radical, leftwing foundations, including the Tides Foundation, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, the Proteus Fund and George Soros' Open Society Institute.
McCain/Soros.
You go right ahead and believe that soros wants McCain to win... but you'll need to toss out McCain's CFR, that aimed directly at soros and moveon.org.
Busy yourself checking soros and his funding of hillary and obama.

Obviously, Soros didn't want Bush to win in the Republican Primaries. He wanted Gore to defeat the weaker opponent, McPain, in the general election.
Very transparent contributions from the enemy within.
.
You go ahead and keep pretending Soros hasn't funded McCain efforts.
Psssst. I don't care.
Full Field BUMP! :-)
Its michigan, go figure.
No way. Hillary WILL be the Jackass party's nominee unless she suffers cardiac arrest before the convention.
She's not popular in the far left moonbat loonybin, but she's the overwhelming choice of the far more numerous Jackasses who aren't quite as loony as the far left fringe. She's playing up to the anti-war moonbats now because they're raving zealots who will turn out in record numbers for this next primary season, but she will veer back toward the mushy middle after she has the nomination on ice.
Pretty blatant hypocrisy.
